ORIGINAL: kaastrup Hi there Stay cool :-) Tx for that many answers... And just to clarify, It is my primary target to go fast. But what I don't understand is, why is the MVVS 45 a bad choise ? If one would like to install a 50cc gasser, in my book it has more power than a DA50 and it is lighter too ?!?!?!? I know that some poeple are going pretty fast with a MOKI 2.10 - so maybe I'am going that way. I just like the idea of getting a gasser in it, so I don't get all that mess on the plane. mfuess >> Hare you had any experience in tuning the MOKI 1.80 gasser ?? What could be done ? Kaastrup, I profusely apologize, your MVVS 45 is a supreme engine and it would be your top choice. (I was thinking of another 45 I use occasionally). Your Moki 1.80 is a clean, well made engine. It responds well to tuned pipes and oversized canister mufflers. The only short-comming you "WILL" encounter is, it has a 30.5mm stroke. GREAT for RPM, espscially on a pipe. But it will severely struggle trying to spin up large-pitch props. It's do-able though. Your MVVS 45 will require long stand-offs to clear the carb, or you could make a cut-out in the firewall for the carb. Either way, your magnesium crankcased, 38mm stroker, has a lot of potential. Thrust for pound, your MVVS 45 will serve you better than any engine on your list. And just wait until you see it on a pipe! WHAT A BEAST! If you don't mind cutting your stand-off box back about an inch, I'd recommend you bolt the engine straight up. I considered an Evolution 45 (MVVS) long and hard. I just didn't want to have to make the firewall to prop hub length come out right, so I went with the BME 50 (which bolted right up). I sort of regret not going with the MVVS 45 though. Your MVVS 45 has the best port design of any engine available today, bar none. And it's the first "true" magnesium crankcased application specific engine. If you already have this engine, don't waist your time with the others...
