Hi, welcome to RCU . The intellispeed 12 turn reverse will fit in the identical spot that the sprint is on the evader.

any one recommend a motor.

can the white and blue leads work with red and black leads from motor?

good info guver

guver -> RE: upgrading evader st (4/13/2007 12:39:01 AM)

Yes, the white is same as red + and blue is neg (black) I'm kinda cheap and like to use the tower hobbies 14 turn motors. Others here will be able to recommend a 12 turn.

how fast you think 14t will go?max

guver -> RE: upgrading evader st (4/13/2007 1:23:12 AM)

Hmm, 14 turn on 6 or 7 cells is pretty good. Maybe 26 mph depending upon gears.

eletric evader -> RE: upgrading evader st (4/13/2007 12:22:21 PM)

do you know if a modified esc must olny work with a modified motor?

guver -> RE: upgrading evader st (4/13/2007 1:02:27 PM)

Since esc can be called anything and motors can be different names as well, This is what you should go by. It isn't exact, but is the most reliable:

Make sure the esc limit is lower than the motor turns.

Example, an 8 turn esc can run 8 turns and above motors. (8-27 turns)

any recomendation of a 12t motor

eletric evader -> RE: upgrading evader st (4/15/2007 1:22:44 PM)

anybody know if a Ti Modified 11T Single Motor 11x1 NR would work with an 8t intellispeed esc?

guver -> RE: upgrading evader st (4/15/2007 2:17:44 PM)

Sure, I think that would work fine and have to be geared probably the lowest to take advantage of the high rpm. Maybe a 13 tooth pinion if it'll fit in chassis.

revofreak -> RE: upgrading evader st (4/15/2007 9:37:03 PM)

well for me, i went mamba. best thing i've done to the car! its amazingly fast. but to answer your question yes any 10th scale motor and esc will go in it. hope this helped.

is the intelliespeed 8t is it modified or not?

doesnt modiefied motor have to match modified esc????

eletric evader -> RE: upgrading evader st (4/16/2007 12:22:29 AM)

will this Associated/LRP GT3 Turbo 12 Turn Double Wind modified motor.

fit on my evader st the measurments seem to fit??

guver -> RE: upgrading evader st (4/16/2007 4:38:22 PM)

It will be easier to just go by the turns and not worry about whether it is called "modified" or "stock"

the terms can get cloudy, but stock might refer to 27 turns, 19 turns, any turns, unremovable end-bell. And Modified may refer to any turns below 27 or perhaps removeable end-bell.

It is rare to label an esc either way, but If I had to label the intel 8 turn esc then I'd call it "modified"

eletric evader -> RE: upgrading evader st (4/20/2007 11:16:14 PM)

eletric evader -> RE: upgrading evader st (4/25/2007 10:57:43 PM)

BUCKY0315 -> RE: upgrading evader st (1/11/2008 2:28:04 PM)

I just bought the Evader EXT. For entry level seems like a good my on a budget. I have about 20 runs on it so far.

I am totally new to this hobby and so far having fun. Can anyone advise if there are any know issues witht the Sprint 2 ESC that comes with the car. Recently it seems to want to go in reverse w/o any input for me. I adjusted the trim with the car on blocks. I hv so much to learn. Just looking to make sure what I am experiencing is normal??

Thanks
