My cc company has also been in contact with Doug. When I contacted Doug again he answered as follows:

Hello,

Excuse me, but i have already received a debit ( a chargeback ) for your
order.

The money should already be back on your credit card. The money was
debiteb from
my bank account a week ago. Apparently you already filed a dispute,
therefore not
leaving me the option to refund the money myself.

DOUG

This is 3 weeks ago and neither I or my bank has seen any money...... WHAT A SURPRISE......

That's curiously close to the story I heard a year ago, only he asked me NOT to file a dispute with my CC. I went ahead, and was refunded the charge. I asked the bank later if they were ever contacted by o'briens, and was told no, no one from o'briens ever contacted them. And that charge that I had to dispute, was a SECOND CHARGE TO MY CARD FOR ALMOST $500. Talk about Ponzi! Watch 'em close after they get the CC number, just to make sure they don't charge you twice!

Wish I would have found this thread BEFORE I placed my order. I placed a order on the 6th of March for four servos, no contact from Obrien but of course my CC was charged.

I used Pay Pal for my purchase. They were no help at all and I was wishing I had used Visa. But now I see what bad things happen to guys trying to use CC. Finally got my order but had to work my butt off getting it.

It is so sad that so many have to experience this merchant. I have tried to use the "Yahoo Shopping buyer protection program" to get my $1480 back. The service they provide is worth nothing as they just answer by sending me a link to their help pages (happened 5-6 times)... I have begged them to understand that I have gone through the process that they describe and now need a claim form to send to their claims agent. This they fail to understand.... My bank will give me a feedback on status on their process soon. If it is negative I will use FBI.

Jeez, I wish I had read this before I ordered and not only once I went back for more before I got the first order. Well, I placed an order for some servos on 21 Jan. 08. Then again on 15 feb,`I thought nothing of the time it had taken because I had ordered from before and it took a while. In the beginning they were answering my emails and telling me that it was shipped and i should have the package anytime now. Now I get no answers and no one answers the phone. Now I am wondering if I am out of my money about $500.00.

I sure hope they make good on my order

just did a bit of searching online with BBB. found this page

http://concord.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=104&bbb=0051&firm=92014484

and

http://concord.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=104&bbb=0051&firm=92014484

and curiously, under a different name and number, but with a 'familiar' name and address

http://concord.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=104&bbb=0051&firm=92009520

I'd say they're lucky to be as high as 'unsatisfactory'!

Good luck on getting anything if you've ordered from this crook.

My order was placed and the funds withdrawn 3/29/08 and still have nothing. Have sent several emails with no reply. Have called the past 5 days to the number on their web site and no answer. Wish I would have seen this post prior to ordering from them.I would have rather paid a little more and received my servos by now.
