I just received am email reply from My Rc store about the T-28 Trojan. They claim they will be posting more information about their dispute with Parkzone shortly and offered me a full refund if I wanted it. They said they would have SOME to ship at the end of the month. If they honor their introductory price as charged, I'll wait until then.

I'm gonna hang with MyRcsupply for a while yet. At least till the end of the month and see what happens. The weather is crummy here anyway so there's no hurry to get one.

However, any of you looking to go elsewhere RedRocket did change the PNP to free shipping (the RTF already was) after I pointed out to them that virtually everyone else has free shipping on orders over $150 (power whining mode engaged!).

Oh. I missed that. You didn't want them to cancel it but they did. Sorry to hear it. Try Redrocket or Hobbyzone. I think you can get free shipping from either.

Yeah, I edited and tried it get the vid to you guy's as fast as I could before the airshow today. The sad part is I went to sleep at 430am got up at 800am just to make the 1 hour 45min drive to tampa. I took pic's of three full size T-28's that showed up, to give some of you guy's paint mod ideas.

Wow...reading this thread and the one on RCG and WattFlyer it looks like that ESC might be a serious weak link. Thats the third one I've read about this week.

I still have my fingers crossed about the ESC. It may not be getting cooled enough from the firewall vent, with all that glue around it. I hope it is not what made this plane's release so long. I did a re-edit the vid that I posted in the thread on saturday morning.

Please Everyone - Read This!

We are not trying to "get out" or anything like that.

Please dont take it that way. If we could offer you the product at the price we had it for, we would, trust me.... The issue isnt with us, its that Horizon wouldn't deliver us any of the Trojans first release. Although we did have an order in for them. We are just as upset as you over the whole thing.

At this time, our board has asked us to start canceling the orders since the product is released and available. Its in your best interest to try and find it elsewhere. I know the price isnt as good, but all of you will be able to place the order again if/when we continue to offer Horizon Products.

NOTE TO -JESSIE J-
If we are able to obtain this item, not only will i honor your original price, i will ship it for free becuase of the delay.... But at this time, we are unsure if we can get the products anymore. The link at RCGroups basically spells it out.....

Thanks everyone thats behind us.... your support is not going unnoticed.
Here to stay

My issue is not with MyRCSupply. My issue is that I/we did nothing wrong except order a product at the best price available just like everyone else does every day when they go shopping. It happened to be a pre-release product that we've been anxiously awaiting - to the point of frustration with the continual delays. Just as the product is about to be released this issue cropped up between Horizon and MyRcsupply. Horizon is in control of the issue, whether we agree or not with Retail Price Maintenance or Price Fixing or whatever the heck it is called. Horizon could have handled the issue with MyRCSupply in the background and still made sure that those of us that preordered and were supporting their Pre-release product were taken care of (ie: shipped enough product to handle the preorders and no more). Then further shipments could have been put on hold until the issue was resolved. It would have cost Horizon nothing and built an enormous amount of good will among these innocent but damaged/affected customers.

Is there any chance Horizon would be willing to do this?

Has anyone tested the maximum amp draw with the stock rtf motor/esc?

The reason I ask is to know the discharge rate needed to use an aftermarket lipo.

I've been flying mine for a while now and haven't had a problem with the esc. I had it in the air for over 10min and the esc wasn't even hot to the tuch. I don't think it's just with this plane people are having the esc problem with. My friend bought a Typhoon yesturday and his esc started to smoke when he hooked the battery up for the first time. I don't think it would be a issue for Horizon to send you a new one with proof of purchase.

I flew the Super Cub since it came out and like the size and "real" look. Being underpowered, I'm going to fit it with a larger motor and mod the wings for ailerons. Then it will be a great plane.

I've had 2 P-51's. They really look good when they fly by, but I that had the same problem both...... lost all pwr and control at ~100ft and they dropped like rocks to their deaths. I've heard the xmitters/recievers have a problem. No more 51's, Fulker's.

The T-28 Trojan is SO much fun. Looks great on a low level pass and flys very well. The way the drive/motor/batt is set up, it has plenty of pwr for wind and handling. Plus they have a newly styled xmitter. If it were only a 6' wing span !!

Oh, one other thing....for some reason, they put the cheap, plastic geared, unreliable servos in the Trojan.

But if you buy a T-28, you won't be disappointed.
