Just got back from the show.
As usual, it was great.
I was planning on spending about 150 bucks, left thinking I spent about $250 and when I got home it was really $417!: oh well, it was things that I 'needed' to finish up my two P-51's and P-40!
I would have needed these items anyway and it probably saved me about a $150 by getting the 'stuff' then.
Here's a few pictures.
Sorry about the poor quality since my good camera's broke and I had to use an older camera.
Hopefully, others will post their pictures that ACTUALLY show some detail.
This is Greg's B-17: a real beauty, his usual outstanding work.
Also included is a huge destroyer (I think) that had an unbelievable amount of detail and animation.

The big hits for me (not counting some real nice babes promoting their 'products') was Robart's coming out this fall/winter with the ARF Ziroli 92" P-47, all composite with lots of detail.
Estimated price 1500-2000. A real nice plane at, I thought, a very good price.
The other item was KMP's Tigercat: Paul said the wing mounting is from the top (which is good).
He said you can mount the center wing to the fuse and make the outer wings removable but you'll have to make modifications.
KMP also is bringing out a C-47, 103" WS: again all composite and should be out this fall.
Sierra Giant Scale is bringing out an ARC all composite T-28 but it only has a 112" WS!: I think the tail fin sits about 4' high!
Also, Charles at Yellow aircraft has some real nice ARF's ranging from about 1800-2200 for prop as well as jets.

I forgot to show my 'stuff' I got!
Two 6" Ziroli spinners, roll of FG cloth, and a cast dummy radial for my AT-6 (future build).
Lots of reciever/engine (4 6v, 2 4.8v) batteries, HD twisted extensions, 'Y' harnesses, RAM landing lights (had a 1/2 off coupon), microfasters screws (never have too many of those!), LED switch, two Sierra's air cylinders (for inner P-51 doors) and finally some nice 'fighting tiger' decals and 'kill' markings (also three free mags and not counting the ton of smiles while there!).
Except for the radial and FG cloth, everything's for my three new planes.

The kill markings were from www.callie-graphics.com (all the way from New Mexico).
One nice thing about attending these big shows is finding things that you never expect to find or at prices you didn't expect.
Besides the cool graphics, http://www.airwildpilotshop.com/ had HD twisted 12" extensions with gold plated contacts for $3.50 a set,
hpps://www.modelaviationproducts.com has tidy strips for holding wires and air lines, http://radicalrc.secure-mall.com/shop/ had 5 cell 1400 MA receiver batteries (NiCd) for $16, and http://www.microfasteners.com has any type screw you want that you will never find any where else (or 'knew existed').
Oh, yes: I also got a case (4 gal) of wildcat 15% premium fuel for 46 bucks.

Here's a few more pics.
It appeared that the multi prop was functional and some real nice 'choppers'.

Another item I forgot (old age!).
BVM now has electric duct fans for his F-86.
This would be a nice way to get into jets without getting 'certified' to fly jets.
http://www.bvmjets.com/
Bob said converting my F-86 (last pic) from glow DF to electric is easy.

I wouldn't hold my breath for the Robart /Ziroli designed P-47, as they have been promising an all composite Ziroli Panther for several years now which has never materialized.

You're right on that Panther: I mentioned last year's Toledo's show about their statement of the prototype panther coming in 3-4 weeks and he ignored answering the question. Plans and reality don't always mesh!

It's a shame too, as Eric Karl continues to demo & fly the Panther at Jet meets around the country. It is a great flier and has great presence in the air. With the release of the PST Panther, they may have decided to back off on their own development, or just feel the market is not there.

One promise of hope is that last year, Robart did not have a prototype of the Panther but they did have the prototype of the P-47 on display. I must say it sure looked nice: I was so enthralled that I forget to take a picture of it! Hopefully, someone else did and will post the picture.

Oh well, all hope is not lost. If you can't get what you want, do it yourself. It want be all composite, but an honest effort will be made this summer to finish the conversion of this crash damaged & repaired Ziroli Panther fuse to a plug for a future mold which will use conventional built up wings & stabs.

Wish I could have made Toledo this year, but it just wasn't in the cards. Thank's for sharing some of the highlights.

Plans and reality don't always mesh!

You got that right.

Hey, I'll take that panther in my shop (something I can afford!).
Remember: " there's no such thing as a bad warbird, all it needs is a good home!"
