I'm a little confused. My instructions say the charger has delta peak. Is this just for lipo? It also says the charger can charge or discharge up to 14 cells, but I see no way to discharge.

I tried to charge a small 3v 900mah AAA nimh pack(2s). Probably not really 900mah I know, cause the cells are cheap and only AAA. I can only set the charge current. I don't see any place to enter the voltage or cell number. When I charge this way it doesn't seem to shut off. Am I missing something?

The delta peak settings are fixed in the BC-5 and are for Nicad and Nimh packs. Lipo settings do not use Delta peak, they use cc/cv technique.

The BC-5 does not cycle packs, it does not have a discharge function.

If the cells are nimh, you need to use the nimh settings, not lipo. Use the first button on the left to select the nimh setting. Set your charge rate. That is it. You do not have to set the cell count with Nicad or Nimh.

Yes, when the charge is complete, the display will say FULL.
