Hi guys, I've come across a very interesting looking plane (well, interesting to me at least) called a Quickie. I believe that it was designed and produced as a homebuilt plane by Bob Rutan. I found a website that has it as a kit, but I wanted to know if any of you out there would know where I could find plans to build this thing. I just don't like the idea of paying 230 bucks for a 43" wingspan kit. Seems a little over priced to me.

You mean burt rutan? Fusco sells the kits. I don't know what they charge, but I think it is in that range. There are a lot of complex cuts and parts. The kit price is in line. I built their Long EZ. It is good. Wouldn't have wanted to try to scratch it. Most of the parts would be a pain. You could do some, but the kit price isn't that bad.

RCM has a couple of plans for the QAC Quickie.

Is this what you're looking for?

The fuse is a little boxy compared to the original, tho.

I think MAN also has a plan available.
