I got a PM and read in another post that Misshydro is in the hospital after being in a car accident on the way to the Toledo show. Her boyfriend was driving when some butt head blew the red light and took the nose of their car right off and spun it two times. She is in serious condition. She went under two operations. One for fluid build up on her brain and she had two broken ribs and one of them punctured her spleen. The Doctors say she might be able to come home maybe Sat?

I started this thread to let people know, and as a way for us to show our support for another boater. I'm sure we all are concerned and hope she has a speedy recovery.

Chuck

Thankyou Chuck for posting this for me!! The only thing that I'm worried about with brain injury is possible brain damage? And I'm hopping not!! If She cant work on her boats?I'll take over for the time being in working on them until she gets better.,So I'll need help and advice on boat stuff? I'm new on this sight.I'd use to play with nitro cars 9 years go and got out of it,had bad luck with nitro motors!! I'll keep you guys posted on her condition.

Certainly shocking news.

Biggest priority is for her to be doing better. Boats will always be there. She certainly is passionate about the hobby. Do pass on my best for a quick and pain free recovery.

Joseywales, if you are anywhere close to the hospital she's in, could you let her know there are many of us pulling for her and hoping she recovers quickly. Was there any info on her boyfriend or the occupants of the other car?

That is not good. Its always uneasy reading about one of our fellow modelers getting hurt. I wish her a full and speedy recovery.

If she winds up for an extended stay in the hospital then we ought to all chip in and get her some kind of radio-controlled micro something to keep her occupied in the room. We can consider it radio controlled therapy!

Get well soon MissHydro...

-Will

Thanks Chuck for starting this thread. I've also started one in the OT forum to get the word around.
We've made exceptions to the rules before on threads like this. One that comes to mind is when McLeod was in a bad motorcycle accident and I found out from his wife.

I don't know her but by her enthusism for model boats on this forum, but I too wish her all the best and a speedy recovery. I've been driving for longer than most of you have been alive and I see an increasing trend toward total disregard for rules of the road. It's a real shame that some innocent girl has to bare the brunt of some morons actions.

God's speed Miss Hydro.

man o man.. we are sorry.. From the gang here at Aquacraft. Get well soon. It would have been a lot of fun to have met her at the show..

Life can be harsh some times. You wake up one day and in the blink of an eye things change. I know.. Miss Hydro is now faced with this change and knowing her determination on this forum I have a feeling she will be back on line soon..

GET WELL

Grimracer

Very sad to hear the news...

Recovery may seem an uphill task, but keep going and don't get discouraged. It's always hard to hear of an accident, but all thoughts are with you.

Wishing you both back up on step and air under your tunnel very soon

Prayers for a fast recovery are going to you from my family as well. He he he, actually, when I first read it, I thought, "oh no, she messed up another boat?" Shocking to find out it was you and your family (boyfriend).
