At the risk of offending some modelers, I am starting a new thread for XtremeLink receivers and modules. I don't have either, and don't know which way for sure I'm going to go to 2.4 (but I AM going to get there). Extreme Link Users: Please post your results, questions, problems, and comments! I'm sure I'm not the only one who is REALLY wanting to know how this system is working! Please keep posts centered on the subject, instead of other stuff.
Thanks very much,
Sam

Yeah, I know I messed up the spelling of the name - now I can't edit the title!

They sold out what they actually took with them to the show. Around 400 or so sets.

I have a question for either those who have one or the people from Xtreme. Can the antenna on the Rx module be unscrewed or removed easily? I would rather unscrew it when I put the Rx in my case instead removing the module everytime. I will be buying a JR unit if that matters at all.

TIA

The one I saw at Ontario did not have a removable antenna, but the full production versions may be different. It was pretty short, so with some foam in a case, I don't think it would hit bottom.

Bob,

The antenna is an integral part of the board itself, so it can not be removed. It does not protude very much from the back of the Tx. If you have any amount of soft insulation in your case, you should not have a problem fitting it with the module still attached.

Jim posted on RCG this morning that they ended up having to dump the site and start over from a backup copy because upgrading the shopping cart software made things worse not better. Didnt give an ETA as to when he thought they might have it back up.

Can somebody post some pictures of the production modules? The web site shows prototype versions.

Thanks,

Greg

Im glad i saw a new thread made, me and a lot of people on this thread was getting pretty annoyed what was going on. The other thread was set on a downward course of death. Anyway, I have all the confidence with XPS. Granted im not ready to buy one as i need to save my money for personal things. As soon as i get find me a new place to live and get settled in XPS should be up and running, and will throw over my credit card and order the system.

That sounds about right. An FCC ID: OUR-XBEEPRO has a range of up to 1 mile and he got 1.2 miles. XBee-PRO™
