Uh, I'm just not sure about that. Just ....not right. has anyone tried to put a Continental IO 520-D into a Stearman or an Agcat? Not quite a natural look I would think. Really getting away from the natural look of the plane. Maybe scale was not intended, anyway. I only glanced at the pictures before left...I didn't read. Anyway, Just my opinion.

Anyone flying the RC Guys Ag wagon out there? How do you like it? What is the easiest gasoline engine to mount, less cutting and go fly?

Click here for radial on Ag plane

Picture below taken on a trip through Indiana last summer. Big ole radial hanging out there with no cowling. Pretty awesome.

In dad's defence....I think he was making light of the fact that some 'ag planes' do have radials on them such as airtractors, thrushes, agcats. To the best of my knowledge, the agwagon never had one. neither did any of Piper's pawnees. I must admit, though, they put on more of a show than non-radial ag planes when working in the field. The sound of a radial is a one of a kind!

If you can put an electric motor in an AgWagon you sure as hell can put a radial on it!

Thanks OAC that was well put.

I knew how Kmot felt already and that was even more the point.

Gettin all technical about a guy tryin to put something on with a smidge of realism (like a radial). Well technically, I have never seen any of them with a single cylinder 2 stroke .

And your right, The sound of a radial is a one of a kind! We watched that duster in the pic for about an hour.

Maidened my Aggie last Thursday and the Saito 325 Radial was awesome!!! The plane handled great after a not-so-pretty-take-off, but hopefully that problem is resolved now. This is a real beauty in the air and the low fly-bys looked really cool. To each his own on what powerplant to use in any of his toys, just as long as you like it, it flies, it lands in one piece, and you go home with a smile on your face!!! I'm leaving you with that thought and I'm going flying now.
