Here's a white with yellow AgWagon fuselage. Also a white with red AgPickup fuse. With just a couple of modifications the ARF Wagon could be made into a Pickup. I do like the scheme of this AgPickup. I may have to build one someday. Maybe a 1/4 scale version. I just got the NZAP 1/4 AgWagon plans the other month. ARRGGHHHH........ so many planes, so little time and money!!
On another note I did find some little plastic triangles that would be just about perfect for making the scale corrugated metal control surfaces. They're made by plastistrut. just cut to length, paint, and glue in place!

Red - that AgCat in the last post looks like the last plane I got hung up in a tree some years ago! I like the AgPickup color scheme, too....although the sounds of an AgPickup does not appeal to me. I like the compacts and sedans. You got the New Zealand people to send you plans? How are they? Kit available, too? I was considering that one a long time ago but decided against it because shipping would be a hassle....plus no website. Plastic triangles...........................phone #?...................website?? - - -That golden guy with the funny helmet looks scary.

The NZAP AgWagon Plans look pretty good. They include ways to build it scale or with more conventional modeling practices. The part about no website kinda made me wonder some too. But I sent a letter by snail mail anyway. They do provide good customer service evne without a website. I only spent about $60.00 us for the plans with shipping. Precision Kit Cutters are the only ones I know of right now that cuts the kit.
The triangles I found in the Plastruct bin at the hobby shop. They may be near the railroading supplies. They are actually closer to angle stock and are a dark grey ABS plastic. But they do have plastic triangles rods too. http://www.plastruct.com/

So How much is THAT Ag-Cat KIT , With the INCLUDED Radial ! ! NICE shot of the radial, I needed that, And would like to see a few more ? How about another side shot showing how far the cylinders protrude around the firewall. And NOOOO ! I Still Don't Have My KIT ! ! ! ! ! I'm Not going to change my mind ! but the last two shots of the Turbo looked Pretty good !
crashpilot- is this shot good enough? If you need more pics let me know. I have several closer detail pics of the Cat that I took. If you need some other shots that I don't have then I might could take some when I go to the field to fly today. Are you sure we can't change your mind about the turbo-prop version!?
Kmot- not a whole lot of difference between the Wagon and Pickup. The Pickup was basically the lower hp base model with about 230hp. The Wagon's hp was 300 hp. Of the 4 different variants (AgPickup, AgWagon, AgTruck, & AgHusky) the AgHusky had the most hp at 310. The Husky and Truck versions had a 280 gallon hopper versus the 200 gallon hopper of the Pickup and Wagon.

Thats the plane ! "Lil Ugly " As they are called. I have the Bill Northrop Plans but there to big for me. Thanks for the photos. Makes me want one more.
Ken
If the plans are too big for you would you be interested in selling them?

HEY ! That's a good enough shot and THANKs ! Much Appreciated ! Since I'll have to make up a dummy, I don't want to make it too big ! But there is a LOT of stuff going on there! I think I'm just going to make something BASIC for now ! It will be for a 12" firewall so I guess a 15-16" wide one should work ! ?
Funny you should ask..............I just e-mailed Dan Speers and asked him the same thing. I told him things were gettin a little boring around here and we were going to have to start makin stuff up.........suggested he make a personal appearance here once a month or so to let us know what was going on. Don't know if he'll do it or not but at least I asked.
See, the prototype was supposed to be flying about mid-summer and if all went well the production wheels would start turning and airframes would be ready to ship late fall.....thats the last we heard, other than the airframe would be 1/5 rather than 1/4 scale.......97" wingspan.
Well, won't be long before you could say mid-summer is here.........the crew at RCGUYS had better be busy doing their Ag Wagon stuff..........
Outacontrol41 always has the scoop(I think he's a relative or something.....aye).......lets see if he knows any new gossip.............he's around here somewhere???????????????

In the world of of agplanes and in the interest of agplanes in the RC hobby we're all brothers and sisters so we are all related. I haven't talked to brother Dan lately so I assume their busy working on the prototype and making it perfect before actual production. I'll drop them a line soon and ask how they're doing. Sounds like brother roknhs is getting a little anxious since there is no news lately. And no...I don't believe in repeating gossip....so you'd better be sure and listen close the first time.
I wrote them and when he responded Mr. Speers said the prototype is being built in the factory in China. From there they will see if any changes need to be made and then they'll make another prototype. Even possibly may have to make one more before release. I believe he said they are lookings for a target retail price of $399. I can hardly wait! Wonder what color scheme they are going to decide on?
