Looks really great! the only thing that i noticed was the width of the canopy(seems a lot wider to me). i am curious to see what engine they mount. things are coming together!! great work!!

VERY TRUE ! On the cover is where it should be ! It just may start a whole new CRAZE ! I think this one looks VERY nice ! and I'm still curious about the engine range. I think we need to see some test flights with " SMOKE ON ! "

Overall appearance of the entire model....A+
Scale appearance of the cabin area....C
Too wide, too square and too close to the tail area.
The rest of the plane is a true winner....but I already knew the cabin was going to be hard to produce with mass production in mind.
I'm going to bash mine into a truer scale form with basswood and balsa block....not hard to do. Now,before you guys throw the devil at me...understand that I'm an extreme hardcore scale nut....it's got to look exactly like the real thing to make it into my hangar....this is just me. But the plane is beautiful and don't know how the guys could have produced a 100% scale model without making it too complicated and therefore hard to mass produce. Bravo! Now I'm saving for the powerplant whatever that may be.....

Hi guys
I agree with Outacontrol 41 , why go to all this trouble to make something so scale like then put a big square lid on top and
say ''there are boys this is what a Ag-wagon looks likes" they moulded up the cowl why not the canopy , make it clear add some
paint , jobs done
Like you boys I've being waiting to see the (close to) finished product to say '' yes , this is for me ''but now I'm thinking '' No ,
why did they do that ? ''
Maybe the next ARF COULD be a Cessna 180 , they have the same tail plane & fin the RC GUYS are 1/3 of the way there !!!

wish i could......Don't give up hope! Some prototypes make it to the production line and some don't. Dan Spears just emailed me and stated that what you see is not what you might get. They may revamp that huge caonopy/cabin that a pilot could fit into along with his entire family, grandma included, and make it right. The cabi needs to, from my observation, contour to a point towards the top and have an oval top...not square. This is very important because besides the easily recognizable scale lines of this aircraft that we're used to, the cabin area should also be easy to recognize. One glance and you should say, "oh, that's an agwagon!'' Besides me being a scale nut....I'd hate to see RC Guys go to the trouble of producind a fine looking scale ag plane only to have sales hindered by an inaccurcy.
I'm only commenting to help the guys out to create an acurate product, I'll save my final judgement, as you should, too, for when the final product appears on their website. Then I'll either bow to the glory or rip into it.

Never having seen an AgWagon in person, or from the top, I did not realize the canopy/cabin was incorrect. But after further looking, you guys have a valid point. Hopefully RC Guys can get it corrected before it goes into production.

In the meantime, here is an interesting tidbit. How about an Ag Wagon warbird?

http://dragan.freeservers.com/bivse/bojenje.htm

3. Cessna 188 Ag-Truck
Fitted with bomb racks and a Soviet bomb sight, this Ag-Truck, formerly YU-BLE served during 1991 with the Cakovec Light Combat Aircraft Squadron. Camouflage is in Black, Dark Gree, Olive Drabd Ligh Grey/Green. Undersurfaces are Light Grey. Note the peeling Croatian flag sticker, a common feature.

Didn't Saddam Hussein use a few a these to teach some of his fellow countrymen a lesson a while back? Geez.

-Really, though....I would never fly one of these in a war or for any military reason. Slow flying target that would be easy to shoot down. Would you want to have a show down with a well equipped military jet while you're flying one of these? "He's spraying the battlefield with something...no wait!! That's smoke! He's goin' down!!" Probably good for surveillance work, though.

I think RC Guys are on top of this issue and it will be corrected. Their other planes are acurate....no need to drift now.

If Dan decides to tweak the canopy fine.............but I thought it was OK the way it was....
Guess I'm not a "True Scale" flyer............I thought it looked like an Ag Wagon even if you could see Grandma and the Kids sitting in the back seat................I suppose I'll have to like it even if you improve the looks

roknhs! ---We're just tryin' to go for the gold....we're at silver right now. The plane looks "OK", you're right....but the plane needs tweaking....and this is the time to do it during development stages. Don't settle for "OK"..... reach for great! And that grandma thing...I didn't mean it. I meant the family cat.
I'm just trying to save Dan and the guys some harsh criticism down the road...and not by me.

Dan sent me more photos of the current Agwagon project. He informed me that the canopy will be reworked at the factory to look more scale-like but will now be testing the flight characteristics of the prototype. I've also noticed at this point that the plane could be missing some diehedral in the wings....did I spell that correctly?? Probably not. It should still fly well. Other than that I think we have a winner in the making here. Glad to see RC Guys listening to us, accepting our suggested changes, and generally working with us...the end users. I think it's really gonna pay off for them. Can't wait to see this plane on the cover of MAN!

-The pictures below are for comparison....what do you think? Lift the wings a little?
