I have a new O.S. 18TZ-TX w/11L Rotary Carb in the mail and have a few questions. First, I need to tell you that I am going to convert it to a marine head for hydroplane use (a couple of people have been successful with this).

Questions:
1) Break-in - what do you suggest? On the O.S. .18 CVR-M Marine I normally run a few tanks of 30% through it with a very rich setting, then lean it down to a reasonable setting. If I want to go crazy, I eventually go to an excellent quality 50% or 65% nitro mixture (realizing that engine life will be shortened).

2) Is the construction different between the O.S. 18TZ-TX and the O.S. .18 CVR-M which would warrant different nitro % and/or head temperatures?

3) Want head temperature and/or exhaust gas temperature (EGT) should I be running?

Thanks for your insight.
