Yeh, man, unfortunately 2nd hand RCs tend to be money pits...here's what you need to do to solve your problem anyway... 1) check the fuel lines (including the pressure line between the exhaust nipple and the fuel tank lid). 2) remove air filter, and reset idle screw until you see approx 1mm gap, go more closed if in doubt as to what is 1mm. 3) reset factory needle settings. 4) Turn on the radio and center the throttle trim. Is the carb gap now more than you just set it? If so, adjust the trim for now so that it just closes again back to 1mm-ish. 5) Test the brakes and steering. Replace the air filter. Start her up. If it then does not start, increase the idle screw, adjusting the controller trim as you do so, so that the idle setting and throttle servo are not fighting each other. Increase the carb gap very slowly (1/4 turn at a time) until it starts. Let me know how that goes...
