I bought a Car on ebay

i started it after receiving it..

& THEN made SO MUCH NOISE just like if it was at full idle , or throlle... the wheels were a little running...

so i pinched the GAZ LINE IMEDIATLY....

i then retryed it was worst so i pinched it again....

I was scared to broke the motor...........

now im trying to unclockwise turn the idle see if it helps + shut the air trim on controller.....


any suggestion i wanted to try it out see how it runs
if i keep or sale it

Status: offline 		did you check and see if the engine mounts are loose or if sprockets are getting conection? mine gets like that when the motor mounts get loose

Status: offline 		with the radio and reciever on, make sure the arm on the carb is at idle position. If it is, then do what you said, turn the idle screw counter clockwise until it stays running with out the wheels turning. If the engine stalls while turning, make sure to turn it clockwise 1/2 turn or it will not start back up

Always start your car on a 2x4 or something to get the wheels off the ground

Status: offline 		when you buy anything off ebay (anything nitro) your better off putting the engine settings back to factory tuneing. As far as noise, it could be a few things to look at. did you change the exhaust system? and does it idle ok or die out after a few seconds?

Status: offline 		yeah... check the venturi screw and see how its tuned, the mixture may be part of it as well, like iexion said, set it back to factory, that may make a difference.... i dont trust anything from ebay normally, so i tend to stay away from it, but if u do keep usin ebay, talk to the seller and see how much he knows about the stuff

you know the TUBE where normally goes into the pipe?
now it's only hanging & theres a CHROME PIPE with 2 muffler going straight to the motor.........

I don't get it

Status: offline 		Yeh, man, unfortunately 2nd hand RCs tend to be money pits...here's what you need to do to solve your problem anyway...

1) check the fuel lines (including the pressure line between the exhaust nipple and the fuel tank lid).

2) remove air filter, and reset idle screw until you see approx 1mm gap, go more closed if in doubt as to what is 1mm.

3) reset factory needle settings.

4) Turn on the radio and center the throttle trim. Is the carb gap now more than you just set it? If so, adjust the trim for now so that it just closes again back to 1mm-ish.

5) Test the brakes and steering. Replace the air filter. Start her up.

If it then does not start, increase the idle screw, adjusting the controller trim as you do so, so that the idle setting and throttle servo are not fighting each other. Increase the carb gap very slowly (1/4 turn at a time) until it starts.

Let me know how that goes...

Status: offline 		I think you should persevere with what you bought already, maybe sell one of them to put some money into the other. Try the steps I told you above, then if it really turns out to be a PITA to run, you learned your lesson about 2nd hand, and yes, probably you should just get a new one. At least now you have radio, etc...you can go for a kit.

where the fuel line is until it blocks & gaive it 2 clock wise turns & started it
didn't work until i rech a certain point then ITM BEGAN RACING ITSELF BIG TIME!

& the valve was HOT even after
so im $?&$?&$? PISSED right now at my ''auction'' bought....

the car looks very good i can'T understand WHy it does that ;(

Status: offline 		did you do the steps I described above? If you have a problem with any of them I'll explain in more detail if you like, it has to be either an idle, tune or trim issue, which those steps should help you resolve.

.it just starts like a BOMB

Crank it BOOM! full speed out of control i freak out each time

+ the neighboors are like **** is happening there a weed eater not able to start?

Status: offline 		You realise your problem is so simple, cant believe you still havent figured it out. The only way your car could start out sounding like its out of control is because your carb opening is too much.

Heres the quickest way to test it:
1)Take off you filter
2)Turn on your radio gear dont touch it and leave it at neutral
-At this point there should be at least 1mm opening on the carb
3)Apply the trigger to full throttle
-The carb opening should be fully open and u should see a nice round circle
4)Apply the trigger to full brakes
-The carb opening should return to the starting 1mm and NO more NO less

Easy as that. Now go do it and tell me what your results are
