bodywerks,

sounds good! YES! I think the ecomposite setup is going to be the HOT SETUP! I have been skeptical in selling my DA 100 and buying a 3W 106 for the extra umph, but given their service and great product, I think I am going to remain loyal.

Frank, No I have NOT received anything as of yet. Arrival has been pushed back till mid AUG

Question, regarding the new 260 (soon to be mine) I have also kicked around the idea of running stock mufflers. Has anyone done this? Is there any bolt on muffler application that is semi quiet somewhere between a pipe and stock?

Thanks for the help!

If your concerned about noise with the stock mufflers run a 3 blade prop.
The Mejzlik 25x12 3B on a DA-100 isnt loud at all.

wayne,

how are the downlines and verticle pull versus a standard 2 blade 27x10? Any comparisons?

I used to fly a 35% RadioCraft with a DA-100 and Std Mufflers.
Initially it had a 2B then I switched to a 3B for IMAC.
The plane was light enough not to feel any power loss and the downlines were slightly (not much) slower.

This 260 I am sure will be the same way.

I was expecting this. I would have been surprised if it was actually "in stores" on their origional due date, although if any company could do it it would have been H9. Still, from late July to mid August is only about a 2-3 week pushback. Not that I am happy about it, but I understand...

Now that I have more time to shop, perhaps Mike can chime in with the actual wing tube measurements so I can get a CF tube here and ready when the plane is??? You mentioned that it was 1.5 inches earlier, which surprised me, as most Chinese tubes are like 41-42mm. Can you verify that, as well as the length? Thanks in advance...

I couldn't get the manual to open up, just kept bringing me back to the page showing the 260 and parts price list.

Got the manual printed off, thanks Wayne. I wonder if in cowl mufflers would work inside of that cowl?

I plan on using that motor with std mufflers..
The only thing that will stick through the bottom of the cowl is the exhaust pipes.

Thanks, guys, wish you would get your kits so I can hear the good and bad.

I have the 27 % H9 Extra 260 and although it flys wonderfuly the kit quality provided a few challenges.

I fly IMAC and am not a 3D pilot.

Frank

At least now we have more eye/mind candy! I had hoped the canopy and stab were premounted - not something I can't deal with, though...

They are on the water so its impossible to pin it down. Too many variables with the ship, custome etc. But they should be here and shipped out sometime within one to three weeks.
