Thanks for designing this airplane! I am from the Milford Ohio area and we have met several times between Toledo, Joe Nall, DOGS, XFC, etc. To make a long story short, when I first laid eyes on your Carden 260 I fell in love with the scheme. My father and I flew together for 25 years and he passed away a little over a year ago and I sold my Carden and my 3.3M Yak. i have not flown since. I kept my 10X and assorted gear and I knew someday I'd fly again. I just moved to Denver, and with the fresh surroundings and now this plane that is just "right" when I look at it I will be getting one and outfitting it. I am very excited to get flying again!

Status: offline 		Definitely consider the Evolution 116 up there in the nosebleed! You'll need all the power you can get! A DA hundy is really only decently powerful enough for about 27-27.5 pounds, and I'm talkin' just enough to pull out of a hover.

Status: offline 		Cool. It should be plenty but, according to other posts by Mike, it will have a problem balancing. I am sure a spinner weight of about 6 ounces would fix that, though, and you'd still be lighter than with a DA. I was considering that motor, too, but with DA about 3 miles down the road from me (I live in Tucson now), it makes more sense...

Status: offline 		We used the old 3W 120 in TOC models that were larger and heavier than this model. It should be OK with it. Niot the power to weight of newer engines but not bad either.

Status: offline 		Yeah, I hope you saw my "NOT!" at the bottom of the page. I remember when Quique used that engine in an Aeroworks 39% (I believe) 300L. It was in the 30's, weightwise and had plenty of power...

Status: offline 		I saw the NOT. I still find this engine to be as powerful as ever. It would pull with any new one at 115cc and out pull any 100cc. The only problem is that if i need major work on it it has to go back to Germany. At some point I'll have to retire it. Dennis

Status: offline 		This engine was hand built for Jason in Germay. The engine was polished and ported and he pistons are a little over sized.Therfore all the parts have to come from Germany or the engine has to be in Germany to match parts. Dennis

Status: offline 		Can't say how old it is. I know that the plane it was in had a lot of foam cut out of the wing before it was sheeted. I've only had to replace one ring on one side. I'll use it until I can't have it repaired. That's the great thing about gas. It may out live me. Dennis

Status: offline 		The Evo 116 (GX2) fits with no additional holes needed. yes, I have flown it and it works very well. I will have two of them at Nall next week, one with the Evo 116 and one with a DA-100.

Status: offline 		Hey Mike, when you get a chance can you give me the length of the fuse without the rudder on? If the tailwheel sticks out the furthest that is the length I need (trying to see if it will fit in my vehicle).

Status: offline 		What vehicle do you have? Unless it's some sort of compact car, I bet you that where there is a will there is a way! My Aeroworks 35% fits very easily into my Ford Expedition without taking the stabs off - the nose of the fuse just peeks forward of the front seatbacks. It is about 100" long. My buddy has a Ford Focus Station wagon and fits a 40%er in it...
By the way, there is more video of this plane on another forum, but I cant mention it here, or I will get in giant trouble...not sure if that's the DA one or the 116 one, but it flew well and had TONS of pull out authority!
