Thought I'd post a few pics of the install as it is planned out/progresses.

The size of this model really shows when you're trying to do neat installs and run the cables/tubing in a not necessarily straight line. Before you know it you have got through 20 or 30 feet of the stuff!!! Having the fuselage split in two parts also complicates where everything goes so as to minimise the number of plugs/connectors that need undoing. The full cockpit with very limited access add more hassle as does wanting to make sure nothing is visible once the model is together. ! It's bizarre that such a huge model still results in quite a tricky install

Speak up if you see me do something stupid!!

Rgds,
Mark

The beginnings of the main equipment board.

PowerBox Royal (VERY nice bit of kit) and two 2.4ghz FASST Futaba 14ch R6014FS receivers.

Hopefully the securest setup available today for this model

Hello

Are you sure of your choice by using 2.4 GHZ FAAST in this wonderful giant model ?

Here in France we are very few modeller to use 2.4 GHZ.

Thanks
JeanFi

Nope!

But there seems to have been a lot of testing done by many people and several are happily flying jets (and some sizeable ones at that) with no issues so what the hell....in for a penny, in for a pound.........

On a slightly more serious note I don't anticipate a problem. The 14ch 2.4 has had no issues or rumors - only good feedback. 2 of them and the Royal should cover all bases and if the worst happens then hey ho, it's only a toy plane after all.
