Hi everyone, just some random questions about the newest Q40 designs out there

1.- Do anyone Knows which airfoil is it being used on the following airplanes

- Proud Bird II
- Polecat (guess it is MH24)
- Record breaking Larson Vendetta´s
- Jim Allen´s Proud Bird
- BBR GR-7

2.- Supposing it would be possible given the Reno Racer rule, would a V-tail be helpfull in therms of performance for a Q40 plane (I´ve seen some FAI F3D desings V-tailed) ?

3.- How far are you balancing your Proud Bird II and Larson Vendetta´s?

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time.

Best Regards.
Víctor Arreola.

Victor,

1. I think the Pole Cat uses a modified MH 24, not an exact MH 24.

2. A Swee'Pea (midwing, V-tail) would be legal in Q40, and it's a good design. I've flown a couple of different ones.

3. Sorry, I'll have to pass on that one.

Duane

Can I answer #3 in Lyles own words?

Put the servo tray as far back as you can in the saddle, put the tank in the nose, and the receiver and battery between the tank and the tray.

There, you just balanced it!

He may have specific C.G.s, but thats how I've test flown all mine without issue.
