DougV -> Jett-Stream muffler (4/20/2007 1:03:28 AM)

Hi Bob,

I was given a new Webra 91 engine with no muffler, (is this engine powerful?)can you guys make a muffler for it? or use a tuned pipe?

It will go on my VMar mig21.

Regards,
-Doug.

Hi Doug.....

Yes, a Jett-Stream muffler is available. If possible, specify the Webra 91 model number when ordering. They made a couple of different versions, so we would want to ensure you get the correct mounting configuration. (only exception here is if you have an older webra, that required the strap on muffler).

Webra engines are all very good products. Pleanty of power. The Webra 91 is no exception. You may have to work with a few different props on the Mig to find one that is optimal, but I would probably start with a 12x8 when using the Jett-Stream muffler.

You can use a full-size pipe if you desire. Might get you a few more rpm, but with added complexity. If you go this route, consider the Macs 12cc pipe (.70 size) instead of the 15cc size. Works well for speed applications.

Bob

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your reply, The engine is a Webra 91 P5 new. will this engine come close to the Jett 90?

Thanks,
Doug.

With the tuned exhaust system, it will come fairly close.

The P5 is ported for a bit lower rpm than the Jett is, but that is not a bad thing.

Expect something along the lines of the OS91 in the same setup. Prop the setup to run around 12,500 to 13,000 rpm

Thank You Bob...

in this case then I will stay with the OS91/Jett-Stream combo I'm using at this moment, For some reason the Webra WEB page said that this engine can handle up to 16K rpm, but if is going to perform like the OS91 then I won't botter with it.

Thanks for your help!!

-Doug.
