Hi there everyone! It has come to our attention that in order for us to take our customer service level to the next level, we have created this thread for people having a hard time buying replacement parts for our planes! So you need parts that you cannot find online? Post your request here and we will do our best to locate any parts or fulfill any request you need at a REASONABLE price that will not break your bank! [:)] --- And since a picture tells a 1000 word, if you can provide any picture for reference, you'll get helped much faster!

Hi I purchased your Pitts Special Challenger 45" A while back. I had a mishap and damaged the cowl beyond repair. I have tried to get a new one from you guys for the last 3 weeks. You keep telling me it will be a couple of months to get one. Please Please see if you can find one sooner for I would be very Happy.

In the matter of replacement parts for my Edge Fury 540T 50: Yet another week has passed and I have heard nothing form Nitroplanes. So I tried calling, yet again. It took me all morning to get someone there to pick up a phone. When they finally answered, once again I was informed that Nitroplanes cannot get spare parts for my Edge 540T 50, and that I am out of luck.

So which is it, Nitroplanes? Can you get the parts for me, or not? And why the heck did you torment me by sending an invoice indicating you were shipping me an entire new plane, followed by an email saying I wouldn’t be charged for it? What else could I do but assume that you were sending me a replacement plane as a peace offering because you found out that you couldn’t get my spare parts after all; and you felt badly for putting me through so much frustration and inconvenience. Unfortunately, that is not the case. I should have known I gave Nitroplanes far too much credit on that one.

When I asked the phone rep about the invoice showing a new plane was being shipped, they informed me that Nitroplanes is not in fact sending me another plane, but could offer no explanation about the invoice. So why did Nitroplanes send me a shipping invoice for merchandise they do not intend to ship? This is a lousy thing to do on a number of levels, especially after I asked about it, and was told I would not be charged.

This behavior is unethical, wrong, and not acceptable in today’s sophisticated marketplace. I feel genuinely mislead, and ripped off by Nitroplanes and their misleading customer support emails. I am also fairly sure the what has happened here is highly illegal, and that Nitroplanes could get in a lot of trouble for sending invoices indicating they are shipping replacement merchandise, only to reneg and then not following through.

I still have the email dated 4-25, order number: 128379 indicating that a new plane is being sent. It says nothing about spare parts, such as a canopy or cowl on the invoice. And it is definitely not a copy of a past order. So what the hell?

Nitroplanes,

I was wondering if you have a spare cowling for the Nitroplanes P-51 65" Mustang (Lois IV). It has the cub yellow nose/cowling. I need to replace the old one. And just for your information, even though your customer service/parts sections could use some improvement, from what I read on RCU, In the past 18 months, I have bought 3 of your models: the 81" WS Cessna 337 / the 65" WS P-51 Mustang (Louis IV) / and the 82" WS AT-6 Texan (Red Tail). All 3 of them arrived in perfect order and are still flying today. I get great comments at the airfield. Your AT-6 Texan is your best quality work so far. So for those of you who are thinking about Nitroplanes, there are a few of us out there who has not experienced any problems with Nitroplanes yet! They are a nice quality product for the price. Lots a luck!

I recommended a friend to you for business a couple months back. He has purchased I believe 3 planes to date. His last order # yhst-17210252890263-9199 has a very severely damaged firewall. The glass around the entire front of the fuselage is cracked and unfixable. He tried to call and talk with one of the staff there at Nitro Models and was told they would issue him a $15 credit. This is not satisfactory due to the plane in its current state is unusable. Please take care of this for him, I have recommended your company to many people at my club and I would hate for him now to go back and tell them not to order from you. I personally know what a good job your doing but he on the other hand is feeling differently.

I bought a nitro planes 40 sized Corsair, paid extra to have retracts preinstalled, instead they sent a wing with no retracts and a set of the wrong retracts in the box, it's been five months with only getting the run around. As president of the American Model Airport Association, AMA Chapter 113 I tell every member of my club not to buy from Nitro Planes as they will not get customer support if they have a problem. Calls and e-mails won't be returned in a timely manner and you will not get satisfaction in your dealings with them. I believe RCU should list them as a non compliant seller and take them out of their RCU Partners list. This is the worst kind of client RCU should be promoting. It makes me believe RCU is not showing the best interest in their members.

What's your order#? To make things clear, We NEVER have any service about installing retracts for customers. I'm not sure what you paid for but if you can let me have your order#, I can check on your order for you. If you indeed paid for the service (which is 100% unlikely), I will surely refund everything you paid for, even the price of the plane...However, you may be confused with the PRE-INSTALLED retracts we sell (which means the retract itself is assembled only)...

I recently bought two of the boat plane things. Price was right, and the stuff inside was also! However, I seem to be missing,, in both kits, the lite ply parts for the Outrunner motors. It is three pieces, two of which are identical.

Hi,
I recently received the CMP Cessna 182 50 size from your new shippment. The front windshield is 12 MM to narrow to fit over the upper extension of the wing. Did CMP put in the wrong windshield or am I missing the part in the instructions that tells you how to fit the windshield.

I am needing a replacement wing joiner tube(aluminum) for the 25 size edge 540. I am having difficulty getting the aircraft to balance properly and had a mishap and bent the tube. I think lightening the tail section during manufacture would help this aircraft immensly, as even with a 4 stroke and and the battery in the cowl it requires a lot of nose-weight, and ends up overall too heavy to be a good aerobatic plane. I really like a lot of your other models, but I am apprehensive about ordering from this issue. Any helpful tips? Todd

Nitrostaff,

I just recently got a replacement wing for my .46 size CMP P40 and the lettering colors are opposite from the right wing now. The top of the right wing has white lettering and now the top of the new left wing has black lettering. The rivet stickers are also missing on the bottom and the lettering says two different things! The color of the gray on the bottom of the wing does not match either. Whats up with that? Will you check into it? My zip code is 93312 and name is Daniel Reno i cannot find the order numbere but I'm sure you still have my credit card purchase info. I just got it about 2 weeks ago. Can I get a match for the right side or get another left that will match or a new set of wings so we will know for sure that they match?

I was wondering how much both parts would be and also if they are available.

I might be able to have the donor even find the reciept if it exists.
