ORIGINAL: gator8287 The batteries had one dead cell each rendering them useless when asking for replacements i was told I had to get a return authorization and pay shipping from canada. The shipping back would have been more than the price of battries. No help from Nitro. I replaced them with same cell, volt and amp, whent to fly and the recommended engines smoked trying to lift the plane off the ground. Whom did you speak to about this? I had a similiar issue with one battery, I PM'd John and 2 days later a new one appeared and that was that. Some of the other staff may be a bit too quick, but you normally can get things like this resolved w/o problems. Re: Smoked Without more to go on it is difficult to know what to blame. Smoking motors indicate something severely amiss with the wiring unless the motor was overpropped. While it's possible that -A- motor may have a shorted line causing it to do this, there is no way to tell if it was the fault of the motor or something else. Usually it's a good idea to check out the ESC & Motor even if briefly outside the plane just to be sure, and to isolate any problems before you've cut into the cowl, etc. putting them in. It also helps in case you need to get something exchanged or returned.
