Good to see it working.
Where is the wheel centre now in respect to the original forward or rear from the fixed gear.
Will see what retracts fit.

hmm,...not quite sure I understand your question CrocEnd?.....the only thing that has changed is the retract servo tray has been moved forward about half an inch. The front gear will be fixed until I figure out which retract will work in this airplane. I know nothing about retracts so all suggestions welcome.

oh.....ok....I see what you're saying.....Serge had already set up the wings for retracts when he gave me the plane,...so I don't know what it was like before he did that.

Well, Serge gave me a .61 O.S. to mount on this thing,..however...it just isn't going to work. The engine mount isn't wide or tall enough, which wouldn't be that big of a deal to modify,...but, the problem is, the vertical fin is at such an angle, that unless the engine is way back on the mount, the engine hits the vertical. Heres a couple pictures with a .46 sitting on it. With a 11 inch prop on it, there is only 1/4 inch clearance to the ground. Only takes about 10-15 degrees rotation and the prop is on the ground. Also,...is a picture from the manual,..showing where they mounted their engine,..BUT,...without the vertical fin attached. I guarantee you, the fin did NOT go on after they mounted the engine in that place. Not sure if this thing is ever going to fly.

Well it looks like I will not be able to fit my DA-50 in it I am hoping to put an OS 55 in it. I think I can put a higher pitch prop and cut it down a bit.

yea...that DA-50 might be just a tad too much for this thing.
I've only got a few minor things to finish up and it will be ready to fly.
Me being the only guy at the field that does any videoing, I'm gonna have one of the other guys do the maiden flight Sunday so I can make a good video of it. Its actually a pretty cool looking little plane.
Hope it flies as well as it looks.

By the way p-80.....you asked me if it has rudder control,....and I told you yes it does.....that is not correct. I had read thru the manual and saw this ( see picture )thats why I told you it did......what they are referring to as the 'rudder', is actually the elevator. There is no rudder.
