I have a 3" aluminum double ended servo arm. Will this give me enough through without using the carbon fiber one supplied. I cant seem to find a horn that the carbon one fits flush with and it seems the aluminum will be large enough to give max throws. The outer holes on aluminum are 1/8" shorter then the carbon fiber arm.

You can use that. You may not be able to get tight cables when rudder cable is diffelected. Meaning one side can have a little slop because you are eleminating the offset of the CF arm. If you are using JR, get the JR aluminum arms or SWB arms. SWM makes arms for all the servos I think.

I would suggest you use the CF arm.
