ok heres the deal just bought this thing freaking fun but i was driving it on my drive way up in the sticks and due to a minor over corection in the strearing it made a bee line straight for my medow which had just been rained on and th grass was wet. the strearing servo started having issues and then the truck control stoped all over. so my question is how to i make this thing a bit more watertight so that if water splashes under it it wont die

by the way i got it back running after taking the servos and opti drive apart and sticking them buy the fire for a few hours

You can buy some plasti-dip (google it) and dip your servos and electronics in it. Either that or you can balloon your servos and rx box and hump pack. go on www.misbehavin-rc.com I think he has a good write up on water proofing.

and even after you waterproof evrything you will still want to steer clear of water if you can,

baloons are proberly the least favurable way, because eventually if will get a small hole that water gets in, but once in it wont come out or evaperate, so after a while the blag fills upw with water with your electronics in there

I took the bottom plates off of my servos and filled them with dieletric grease. I also pulled the wire connections out of the reciever and filled that area.click here and then with the an unused servo horn on and screw in to protect the gears from overspray, i sprayed the outside of them with 3m rubberized undercoating click here I got both of those items at a local Walmart.

Havnt went through deep water but ran it in wet snow and it was packed all over the inside of the truck on everything and havnt had a problem.
