MOM is still on my calendar. My tried-n-true Twin-Tail Twin Air and VQ Blackwidow are ready to go. And I am on track to having the Duellist with me if it survives the maiden- I am powering it with a pair of JETT FIRE 50's and custom-tuned nitro pipes, so bring your earplugs and radar guns.

Maybe next year I will have my C-130 ready for this event. THis is relatively close to my house. For now, I'll keep my fingers crossed and continue my build.

My motel reservations are made and my boss has signed off on leave.

Flaps has my Double Sonic (two 25 sized Sonic kits a la P-82) ready to test. We are waiting on some exhaust extensions since I had him side mount the engines and the mufflers didn't clear.

Mark Pfeiffer is still on to come with me. He has his TwinStar and also my old Twin Stick. I told him Robby wasn't allowed to fly it.

edit:
( Robby: I'll steal it when he ain't lookin' )

Due to personal reasons (selling my house) I will not be able to make the event. However to show my support of this multi-engine event and to help promote it, I will offer TwinSync products at the event for 50% off!!!. You must be present/participate at the event to get one at this price. So if you are near the area and either have a twin or are thinking about getting a twin, going to this event will let you save a bundle on a TwinSync and optional acessories (glow drivers and displays).

TwinSync 2.0 normally $99.95 at Multis over McDonough $50
Glowdriver normally $49.95 at Multis over McDonough $25
Remote Display normally $39.95 at Multis over McDonough $20

See Robby there if you want one.

Okkayyy.. Multi's over McDonough is now in the books..
There was a decent turnout of pilots and a great turnout of spectators.
Henry County RC did a fantastic job of providing grille cooked burgers
and dogs..
Only a couple minor mishaps. Many great flights . There was a visit from
George Lumpkin known as Twinman of the forums. Sadly Ed Moorman took
extremely ill and was unable to make it this year.. He has now recovered
and is back to his normal self..
Bo Ingram brought out a few planes and spent much time flying his various
entries.. Walt Kahres brought his beautiful P-61 again and made quite a showing..
Jim Brooks was in attendence as well again this year but didn't have his large
Burelli ready.. But he made up for it by flying the heck out of his Twin Stick ..
On a side note, one of HCRC newest members, Zach Levy soloed that week end
and moved into his second airplane.. This 13 year old is sharp as heck and for
just starting out is doing really great.. Congradulations Zach.. And in addition his
father, Scott, also soloed same week end.. The family that flies together, solos together..
A big thanks goes out to all of the Henry County RC club and especially Jeff adams
and Wes Walton and his son Joe.. They really worked hard to make this event a
success.. Thank you guys..

Did you get any pictures???

I'm sorry I missed the meet, but I was thinking about you guys, at least I think I was thinking of you. I was in the hospital that Saturday, Sunday & Monday on an IV getting demerol for pain. I was flying, maybe soaring is the better term. A whole year I wait for this meet and that's the weekend I get sick. Rats! I hadn't been in the hospital for 30 years before this.

edit: glad you are all better now Ed... We all missed you..

Soooooooooooo,, you want pictures do you....

So how is this for a couple pics....
First up is Larry Wilson from the Hoosier state and his RCM plans Twinstar from about 20 years ago...
Larry was kind enough to allow people fly his plane, heck, he even let me fly it.. It may be an old
treasure of a plane but didn't stop from flying the heck outta it..

Next we have Jim Daniels with his electric P-38.. He was busy flying this one as well.. Robby brought
a silver one and both Robby and Jim did a formation fly.. At one point it was soo close the peanut
gallery thought it was over for the two of them..

Here we have Jim Brooks landing a tad harder than he should of..
Just a minor gear knock off, little epoxy and back up it goes.. Jim
won this plane last year and has been happily flying it a lot..

Vic and Dan Echevarria who are Father and son brought of a few
including this Hobbico Twinstar.. Looks like the brakes failed once
too many times.. Both super nice people..

And of course, Walt Kahres came and brought his P-61 and his NE Aero
twin.. Walt hasn't gotten out much this year and was a little more reserved
than usual but still put on quite a show.. The first three of Walt horsing the
NE Aero twin..
The next are of Walt and twinman starting up the P-61.. This plane is always
a show stopper every time it takes to the air.. Walt gave a good showing
with this plane.. Sadly he had a little trouble on landing but managed to get away
some minor wing breakage and a bent leading gear strut..
OK Walt,, now that you have broken it we DO expect you to get really radical
with it in the future.. <LOL>
