One guys recently had the covering on his new ARF peel off in flight. Just the upper surface of one wing but, it remained attached flapping around and causing all sorts of control grief (tangling up one aileron). He struggled valiantly with it for 20seconds but it was inevitable....so he yelled out "Mayday....Mayday....Mayday...." seconds before impact.

the very first time I flew a helicopter was at the feild with some club members (i'm not a member) I didn't bother to use training gear or take the weather into consideration.
It was a raptor 30v2 and I went crazy on it , from Idle to hover then almost snap to full pitch it was a good 30 feet when the wind caught it (20-24kmh or so) and crashed 30 feet away. One of the men ran towards it as i slowly caught up. We looked at each other and he quietly said "oooooh man.......... how much do you want for it", I couldn't just brake a smile, I burst out laughing "don't ask me it's not mine"

My favorite, "You had to land eventually" after I had been gliding a Foamy Cessna for almost 45 minutes, when the plane decided that it wanted a break and made a beeline for the earth about 20 feet from where I was standing. The other guys response, "So, you think you'll be out here later?", as I am looking at a pile of mutilated foam.

Personally I liked this one, it really happened.
A guy at our old club asked my mate if he had any fuel tube in his flight box he could borrow. My mate give him some and after fitting it the guy went out to the runway and took off. A short time later there was a crunch and a pile of wreckage that was formerly known as a plane. As the guy carried the wreckage past my mate, my mate casually said, "Are you finished with that fuel tube now?"
