I did order a new set of plans for this plane.
According to the plans the CG is 3" back from the leading edge of the wing.
Hope that helps. Remember that is just a good starting point. Depending on the motor you used and where the radio equipment is in the plane.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Todd

I've been working on this kit for the past week or so, I'm almost finished with the wing. What engine did you use in yours? How does it fly?

I have an OS 48 four stroke in it.
IT FLYS GREAT!!!!
I like flying is so much I bought a second one.
The second one is built but I have not flown it yet.
It is powered by a Super Tiger .45
I thin I will like the second better. The 4 stroke has enough power, but I think I would like a little more for it.
I would not power it with a .40 size unless it was a high powered .40 (like OS .40FX) or something.
The one thing is does like to do is come in a little fast. My first plane does not have the flaps. I think I would reccomnd them.
The second one does have flaps. So once a the snow melts up here we plan on taking it up.

GOOD LUCK with yours.
I am sure you will like it.

Todd,

So, you put an OS 48 four stroke in it and found it had enough power? I'm planning on putting in a OS FS-52 four stroke (bottom of their recommended range) and I would think that would power it fine if you're getting away with a 48 ...

I am not sure about the new one that is coming out.
Mine was the kit version of it. Mine does fly very well one the 48 four stroke.
If you are planning on doing stunts and tricks with it you will need more power I think.
But as far as flying my 48 has plenty of power for it.
The new Cherokee that GP is putiing out now I do not know much about it.
I would think it should be the same as the kit, but you never know.

GOOD LUCK

Todd

We're closing this discussion. This is NOT a discussion forum, but a place to ask us, the Great Planes Support Reps, questions about your Great Planes kits. If you wish to have a discussion, it should be in the general KITS forum.

Thank you.
