Good choice!!! Get the Falcon 3D, I know what you mean. I had (still have) a Walkera 22E, then I got a Axe CP, and they wander around and it's very difficult to "hover" those things specially for a beginner or someone like me that have a very strong wind problem where I live, so my learning curve during the past three months has been very slow, difficult, and painful on the pocket....due to two things: A) Too much Wind B) Any of those helis that have a "4-in-1" are not good to start. I got a Falcon 3D only three days ago, and for the love of God what a difference! - The reason? A an external gyro!!! Those other helis that you see have a "4-in-1" have cheap gyros mounted on that little box that does four things in one. NOT GOOD! C) Helis with electric motors on the tail rotor can't control the tail as well as a belt-driven or shaft-driven tail control system. - The Falcon 3D uses a shaft driven tail, while the Blade CP still has an electric motor on the tail rotor...... big difference. Even though the gyro on the Falcon 3D isn't the best gyro out there, it does a Hell of a great job on locking that tail steady, even under fairly severe wind. - I was able to hover my Falcon 3D this morning at the patio for a whopping 10 minutes without touching ground, nor breaking anything (I'm good at that ...hehe). - That tail was locked in like it wasn't moving if I didn't tell it to move......*that* alone is precious, and you won't see on any of those helis with cheap "4-in-1" receivers. You know must of these helis come from Asia, either China, or Hong Kong, Taiwain, Japan, etc.... - Since I was a child I always learned something, the Chinese say that "something is good for many things, is not good for anything" - In other words, it's better to have a separate RX, gyro, ESC, etc. than having them all sandwich in one single package. Why? Because every separate item was made for that, specially engineered to do *one* thing, and it does *that* single thing at best. If you haven't bought your Falcon 3D yet, this is the right moment! - I got mine for $250 plus $8 S/H at HobbyLobby.com, and I ordered it on May 23rd, and received it May 25th, that's a fast service. - If you order it, it says $279 but you have to apply a $25 dollars bonus they got there for purchases of more than $150, so it comes down to $254 plus S/H. Hell of a great heli with gyro, brushless motor, ESC, Li-Po battery, training kit, etc. etc. the whole thing $254 and it isn't too far from being almost like a T-Rex it is tail shaft driven, it doesn't use that cheap tail motor that doesn't control the tail well anyway. ORIGINAL: BUBBA633 I've changed my mind and decided to get the falcon 3d instead of the blade cp pro. The reason, the falcon is a bigger heli with more standard features and its practically like having a t rex. I couldnt beleive it comes with heading lock gyro!! Thats a $90 part! I'd have to buy that seperately for the blade. The waggly tale was the main problems I had with the walkera and the honeybee. At $299. its only $50 more than the pro! Whats your thoughts on the quality and performance of this bird? Thanks
