ORIGINAL: deltatech I've had my Hitec Eclipse 7 w/spectra module for a couple years now. I haven't used it much I have it in my Top Flite DC-3. I took my model out this weekend to give it a full checkout after installing the Twin Sync engine syncronizing system by Bill Wyke. I'm getting allot of interferance. At 45 paces and antena down all control surfaces chatter and move about 1/4". With the antenna up everything is steady. At 200 paces same thing. Is this a good range check or am I doing somthing wrong? Once today I had the radio/reciever off. I turned the radio on then the reciever. I had NO control? I shut everything down and back on again - nothing? I extended the antenna and I got control. When I put the antenna down I still had control and was not able to reproduce this problem. What could be going on? If using a QPCM receiver then the shut down indicates interference problems. If all worked AOK prior to installing the new twin engine sync system then that is where to start by rechecking full instalation and reroute wiring. In need remove the entire new system from model and if all is then good, your fault is within the sync system. Refer to "Radio Systems, Accessories, Alterations and FAQ", on my web page, sub sections: . Range check and Range problem solving . Receiver - FAQ, guides and aids to best reception . Glitches & Jitter in RX & Servo - causes and cures . Transmitter - FAQ - Additions, Adjustments, Clonepacs & Repairs . Giant Scale, Large RC models, Twins & Multi Engines amongst many others. The more electronic systems and wiring added to a model, the greater the risk of interference and something else lurking like RX battery (may need two as covered under the Multi Engines section) not able to supply enough current when all systems activated.
