Hello! Joe's Hobby Barn and Raceway, in Terre Haute will be running the first race of the season May 6th. We have a new track and Drivers stand for this year! The drivers stand has been moved to the opposite side of the track as before to make it much easier to come from your pit to the drivers stand. It is much taller- 8' to the deck to give you a commanding view of the track. The track is different too- larger, more technical motocross type track, with a dirt oval around it. We are hoping to attract new people this year to come and race, so if you are new to racing or a seasoned veteran , come on out to Joe's for some great racing action!!!
From Interstate 70 go south on SR 41 four stoplights to Springhill Rd., turn left (east) and go about a mile, Joe's is on the left, just before the RR tracks. The hobby store is open 7 days- 10am to 6pm the # is 812 299 5773. Racing costs $15 for the first vehicle and $10 for each additional vehicle. The track opens at 10am and racing begins at 1:00pm. We run 2 heats and a main. After the mains have been run, Joe's runs a "snake" race. If you don't know what that is, it is a race that you can run ANY vehicle you like- no restrictions! The race lasts 5 minutes and there are no turn marshalls. It costs another 2 bucks to run, but the winner gets a trophy at the end of the race. You have to be fast, avoid the wrecks, and keep from wrecking yourself to win- very challenging!! come on out to Joe's and try it!!!
Joe's will be racing every weekend this summer, mostly on Sundays, the exceptions are; Mothers day, Fathers Day, Memorial Day, and Labor day weekends, when racing will be on Saturday.

Joe's is about an Hour's drive west of Indy on I-70

Joe's will be having only 5 more races this summer. The next one, August 29 will be the 2nd race in the 2nd points series of the summer. Then we take a break for Labor Day, and then 3 more points races. September 30th will be the final outdoor race of the season, there will be a cookout/ party that day. Bring your racer and give us some competition!!

This is the only offroad track I know of in Indy. It's on the NE side and very nice IMO. There is a forum on the site - from there you can find out about some other races in Indiana.

We just opened our track a few weeks ago in Rochester,IN which is about 2hours North of Indy right on 31. We have a dirt track with nice jumps, whoops and a triple. Sorry, I dont have any pics. yet, we're working on setting up a website so people can see the track. We have quite the crowd. Classes so far: Buggies (1/8), Jato, Revo, T-Maxx, 1/8 monster truck. I gotta tell you Revo guys though, there is a Revo Platinum that runs the track with an aftermarket O.S. motor....that truck is FFFAAASSSTTT!!! We also have a regular who ran the pro circuit for a few years... he's a buggie runner, though, so I'm safe LOL. We run Saturday's w/o rain...cost is $5 for the day for your first class, then $3 per additional class. I'll update when we get the website fired up.
