The scrap of soft foam on the bench makes for easy holding while using the razor plane.

Here is the pylon deck assembly being checked for alignment. Ready to cover this part. Research from other builders had us do a slight change. We used to two sets of dowels for the top wing to keep it better aligned in use. Original spec was one set on the center.

Here all of the pylons are mounted to the fuselage. Care must be taken to keep the wings parallel. At each assembly step I use the level and make adjustments as needed.
There are 3 versions, stock balsa block, thin ply and fiberglass, of the deck in pic #2.

HI YUU,
I have been plugging along with these birds. Tonight I slimed 'em up real good with some non shrink light spackle stuff. Well just the foam turttle deck and edges of the pylon deck. This fills the pores in the foam so I can cover right over it.

This was looking like a great project! Was it ever completed? It would be great to see a photo of a bunch of Parakeets and read a little about them.

Hope you all got some good fun out of it.

Jim
