let me start off by saying i am new to eletric. ive been running nitro trucks for about a year now, but i couldent stop myself from buying a traxxas rustler .it has a 550 12t titan in it with an xl5 speed control.i was using Venom 1800 nicd packs to run it but i found that my total run time sucked. i than moved up to a venom 4600 nimh 7.2 pack , which made my little rustler a bat out of hell and gave me about a 20 minut run time . however my rustler seems to be slowing down on me even with the 4600 pack in it. I have a PIRANHA DIGITAL peak charger programmable with custom Lcd but to be hounest im not shure if i am using this thing 100% corectly. im wondering if mabey im not getting a full charge on my bats.i charge my 1800 packs like this
(1800 nicd 7.2)---(nicd)(1800Mah)(4.0a)(6mV/C)

and i charge my 4600 packs like this.
(4600 nimh 7.2)---(nimh)(4600Mah)(3.0a)(4mV/C)

ok so does this look right to enyone.am i charging these things the right way,or do i need to make some changes ? i also have some AA rechargeable batteries that i bought so i can start using them instead of regular bats. each battery says Venom 2400 1.2 high voltage power cell on them.i got a tray from the hobby shop so that i could charge 8 of them at a time, but i have no idea what settings to use to charge the pack of 8 . can someone please give me a hand with all of this. And like i said before i am new to eeletric so please be gental on me .
PS. i did clean my 550 titan.

Your 2 big packs are doing fine. The 8 AA can be charged at .5 amps (1/2 amp) with the lowest mv setting.

yeah, 9.6v NiMH 2400mAh, and then I would charge them as slow as you can up to c/10 or so if you've got the time, and up to whatever current that you can keep the temp of the batteries at 100F or lower =) That should be between 1/2c and 2c for most batteries.

oh, I wasn't talking about the delta peak... I was talking about the amps =), so somewhere between 1.2 amps and 4.8 amps at the absolute max if you need them charged real quick, just as a general rule I like to keep mine under 100F. The 500mA rate (or about a c/5 rate) is alot better on the batteries if you have the time to wait for them to charge.

honestly I don't know that much about delta peak and what values are good for what.
