I got my Katana 2 weeks ago. I put it together in 1 day; about 8-9 hours. I was extremely pleased how well everything went together. Only a little sending was required for engine box (5 min). Otherwise, it was a perfect. I really like the kit. Bad part, I do not like the supplier, because for the last 2 weeks I am unable to finish it and fly it. Atlanta Hobby has an engine on back order. I hope it will be here next week, but anyway this is annoying. I placed the ordered with AH on 11/19/07 and I still cannot put it in the air. Arrrrgggggg. I guess I should order it from Australia, gotta be faster.

hmm, could Cliff be experiencing supply issues with the torque motors?

I always wondered why he didn't carry PA motors as well, seems to me like if he did, at least you could have been given an option to substitute.

The whole story is even worth. Over 2 weeks ago, I placed an order for extreme Thunder Power LIpos (same as in the Combo). I called them last Thursday and they do not have them in stock. I was waiting for nothing. According to AH, there being a fire on the factory and there are no packs being produced in the last month. They should be back in stock in the week or two. I canceled my order and put one with Tower. Batteries should be here on Tuesday. (useless anyway because I do not have the engine)

bum luck indeed.

I never bought from AH but i've heard lots of satisfied reports; sometimes things can go wrong anywhere.

Personally i think the 2100 prolites on 12x6 are still the best pack for this plane.

Any news or tracking number from AH on the motor?
I ordered everything on Saturday night and was wondering if I should expect a delay.
I believe I should have my tracking number tomorrow if all is in stock.

I think they should be back in stock. But according to AH they are going to fill the backorders first, I am not sure if something will left after that. But hope for best. I wish you to get yours fast.

Hi
greetings form Australia. I live in Germany but am married to an Australian girl and we spend Christmas here. PA is just 5 miles from our house so I went and bought the Katana MD directly from them to give it to my son for his 10th birthday on the 18th of December. I put it together for him in just two days and he maidened it masterfully! He had flown the Katana mini before in Germany. What can I say? With all the computer games that the kids play they are really quick with the sticks. So he mastered it very quickly. Harriers close to the ground - no problem for him.
I fly the Extra 300 by Extreme Flight and I find it a more beautiful plane. But the Katana MD flies better!
And Shaun and Adad are just great! Very good service. I had a bad servo (too much play) and they replaced it instantly. Gave me a prototype of the carbon spinner as well, cause the production spinner hadn't come in yet.
So here are some pics of the maiden flight

Spuetz, the plane looks great. I wish my 10yr. old son would take an interest like yours. He plays sports and x-box. It looks like in one pic you have the leg pants, and the other you don`t. I don`t use mine. I break my landing gear in higher grass. Do yall have snow there yet? It must be nice to be right down the street from PA. How popular is there company in the local area. Do a lot of people fly their product around there? Thanks
