I just put in my Cermark F-16.. It was at full throttle and pretty much nose first, into the (soft sod farm) ground.(Check out the cermark thread for the picture)I just got
the engine all cleaned up everything looks to be ok, One thing I did notice is that the throttle arm dosn't want to open and close
easy anymore. I DO NOT want to even start this engine to check it... I would like send it back to Jett so you guys can make sure
that everythjing is ok and it runs . So if something is wrong you can fix it So I dont make it worse. How do I go about doing that
Thanks
Pete H

Hi Pete...

Sorry to hear about the F-16....

Chances are the engine is ok..... they are fairly bullet proof.

Might need a new prop drive stud, front bearing or something along those lines, and chances are the carb has a hunk of dirt stuck in it.

Proceedure for a 'factory' checkup ...

1) Clean the engine the best you can (at least externally). Avoid turning it over.

2) Make sure it is just the engine and muffler. You would be amazed how many engines show up with the broken engine mount (and sometimes the broken firewall or forward remains of the aircraft) still attached.

3) Pack it up inside of a zip-bag and safely box it up. Be sure to include your name, address, email, phone number on a note placed within the box. Ship it to Jett. Also will require payment instructions for parts and return shipping (or note to Dub that he has your CC info on file).

You can drop Dub an email at jettengr@sbcglobal.net if you wish to let him know it is on the way.

address is on the website www.jettengineering.com

Bob
