Glad you liked the airframe. With your collection I figured this would be a nice addition. I still would like to build the one from Estar along with two of their other models. Just dont have time right now. Your Storch looks great and is a bit smaller than the estar? I will get around to it soon. I have been flying my Predator a lot having so mush fun with it.

Freddy,

Nice flying shots! It is a lot of fun flying the Predator, once you get the hang of those long skinny
wings. Too bad the Nitro bunch, and the other assorted Distributors, did not order more and
are now "out of stock" yet again! What new projects have you been working on? Oh, how about
a few closeups of your Predator and if you did any mods....a few photos of them would be nice.

Hello, i buy a plane Nitromodels PREDATOR RQ-1B , but i do not have any instruction for montage ,
Some one can help me with position of CG to this plane?
Thank you

Laur73,

I sure hope that this thread has helped you with your build since you do not have the
instructions. If you have any more questions......just post them and I'm sure that you
will get a response. I found the best CG position to be between 2" and 2 1/2" back
from the leading edge of the wing. Hope that this helps.

Does anyone know where I can get an online PDF of the manual. I lost mine and I'm ready to start building my predator. I contacted nitro models and they said they'd send me one but it's been 2 weeks and I'm getting anxious. Or, could any one scan the manual and email it to me?

Much appreciated,

Chris

Hey Pappajeff
I have just got a Pred to learn to fly FPV before converting on to my gasser helis...I thought why not start with a real looking UAV? I have been watching this thread for a few weeks now and it is good to see the excellent improvements you guys have made, not to mention the passion for the hobby you guys have. Internet forums like this wouldn't exist without guys like you. Keep it up.

Rhyno

I will post mods I have made later.

Rhyno,

Thank you for the kind words! For an "OLD DOG" nut case Grandpa, it's gratifying to be able to
share the "passion" with others. All the guys on this forum have been great and their contributions
have made this Predator build thread most enjoyable and, I hope, informative. If you have any
build questions, please don't hesitate to post them and I know that you will always get a prompt reply.
I look forward to hearing and seeing your progress.

Well First up mod HAS to be steerable nose wheel...otherwise how is one to track it on the ground?..but instead of installing another servo, I have installed a slightly higher torque servo in the existing tray a brought both sides of the elevator back to 1 servo, and the other is used for nose wheel and lower fin actuation..(big word). Also I liked your removable wing mod so I did that. I am taking picture for the thread and will post later. And after the flight tests are done, I will start work on a bigger plank for AP use..dunno if I will go with the same layout thou...I was talking to Joe Wurts about layouts/wing platforms on the weekend, so will see what he says...one better to ask huh?

Brownlab...if the means a spring wind in the leg, than yes it does.

I think that Nitro (www.nitroplanes.com)has more on the way, but try Banana Hobby, Raidentech,
United Hobbies or Evergreen models.

I have tried all the links provided and even the UK one is out of stock. Thanks to all who have responded and tried, much appreciated. I did find one on EBAY but I believe the person who has it for sale is trying to push the price up.....the Shipping alone is 49.95 and I got a 51 dollar bid in.....not sure that I want to pay much more than that.

Hi Gents wonder if you can help me. I have just go one of these loverly models and am a bit confused about the 'V' tail controls it say you need 4 servos and 4 channels and is shoes rudder throws in the manual but the 'V' tail acts and an elevator IE both go up down and as per normal so one channel for Ailerons one for Elevator and one for the ESC ?
