Status: offline 		I have just aqquired a YS 45 side exhaust 2 stroke with the YS muffler mounted on a CG EXTREME 330 profile plane. Would this engine benefit from a Jett Stream? How much is the adapter? Is this a good choice for a fun fly 40 sized profile? I could also stick it on a Patriot 40 I have, but it's fast enough with the OS 46 that is on it already!

The jett-stream does work well on the YS45. Adapter is (I think) $15.

For fun-fly, you may wish to stick with the stock muffler. That sort of application you will likely be running at 1/4 to 1/2 throttle a great deal of the time --- so you will not get the benifit of the tuned muffer, and the pipe-step effect might cause you some grief throttling up and down from 3/4 power on up (non-linear transition). But you will most definately see good performance on the top end.

The YS45 seems to prefer to be propped to run around 16,000 - 16,500 rpm - or slightly lower - when using a tuned pipe or tuned exhaust system.

In a Patriot..... its a great combination.

BTW... the jett-stream muffler will really bring an OS46 to life too ...
