Sounds good silversurfer, I always tried to get it exact and thought that if they were'nt I would need to lengthen the rudder horn.

Remember to set up your travels on the rudder servo to obtain close to the maximum for the best resolution when you are making up your cable installation.

I usally start out with 125% on my 9C, fly and see whats the maximum I'll need on all surfaces and then back off on my throws mechanically for maximum torque. Then I will up those endpoints for best resolution, this works out great with fast servos because I am losing some speed with higher endpoint settings. Some models never really need that high 50-60 degrees of elevator throw to get them to perform really good extreme 3D. I even had friends models I setup that would perform perfectly flat spins, true vertical elevators and zero elevation walls while only running 42 degrees of throw.

So should I go with the 3" or 4" rudder horn? All that's left is the throttle and rudder cable and horns.

Perhaps I'm missing something here. I believe we were referring to rudder horns. In this case bigger is not better and how it's used takes precidence over length. I'll reiterate, the 3" rudder servo horn works just fine. If you feel the need to strut, then go with the 4.

Silver I always go to the last post and look at it first. I guess it just tickled my funny bone a little.
I will also agree that 3" is enough.
I think this lack of sleep is killing me.

mstroh3961 - I agree with you on that. I hope that the United Plane Smashers can bring my new bird home safe and sound.
I am really looking forward to running the 3MM.
