I picked up a set of Pinions for my RC18R from Integy... so i open it up, take off my old pinion... then i tried to put on the new one and i realize the little allen wrench they provided doesn't fit the screws they included in the kit...

I'm more than pissed and will never buy anything integy again... i have lots of allen wrenches and crap but the ones they include are smaller than .05" driver i have.

Instead of complaining, why don't you call Integy and tell them your problem.

IMO go ahead and complain. I like to be aware of companies that put out products like that so I can avoid them.

Just my $.02

I've complained via email to GPM, Atomic, and now 3racing about various mod part issues. Of those 3, GPM got back to me very fast and mailed me the replacement part I requested (a screw that had no threads). Atomic took 3 days to respond and told me I needed to mail the part back to them in HK and then they'd decide. I asked them for a cvd pin....that's it. These things cost next to nothing and they couldn't just send it. I'm not mailing stuff to HK, cuz then I'll be out the parts AND shipping, instead of just the parts. Atomic is on my ****-list

I emailed 3racing yesterday and haven't heard back yet. I asked them to send me a ball screw for SSG mini-t shock towers since their nut froze up and caused the head to shear off (Actually, 3 ball-screw / nut pairs froze, but only one head sheared). I really hope they respond positively (and soon) because they're my favorite mod part company, by far.

well, i'm pretty sure they'll say, sorry sir, we screwed up... we'll mail you out the correct sized wrench and you should receive it within 5-7 business days... or........ i could just go to my local hardware store and grab one that will work... which is what i'll do.

I don't need you to hold my hand or give me advice, i'm simply notifying the community of my experience which frankly, is why alot of people come to these forums... so please... take your attitude elsewhere....

Gotta be CF or plastic, in my book. Now I only replace with aluminum where plastic isn't strong enough because the pieces WILL bend and will wear out faster than most plastic parts. If only they made more parts out of delrin!

could have been a mistake. i mean they do happen.

i mean so if a person you know buys a brand new automobile and has trans problems do you not buy that car because of that? ofcourse not. there are millions of packaging mistakes do happen. this is isolated. integy is cheap for a reason THEY ARE LESS EXSPENSIVE the ole saying "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" i have had goodluck with some parts from them so i cant complain at this point not to say i wont have problems i just have yet to experience them. hope you got the right allen to get you rollin in the end thats all that matters. but i use hpi pinions only anyways!

I beg to differ on the car tranny problem statement. That's a pretty big deal and results in a decent downtime for a new car. Little issues I can understand (my WRX's clutch / flywheel warped, replaced under warranty - design issue that made for jerky shifting), but big ones (my parents' dodge caravan's tranny went out twice) are a show stopper. They're not going to buy another dodge, ever.
