Attention all Eastern US pilots and any other glider guiders who might be interested. If you like thermal duration soaring competition that is both challenging and fun, you might want to consider coming to one or more of the Eastern Soaring League Contests.

There is no cost for membership and there is no minimum experience or talent level requirement. You can participate in one event or you can participate in all of them. You do not have to be a member of one of our clubs. In fact you don't have to be a member of any club. You do have to be a member of the AMA.

The locations stretch from VA to MA and lots of places in between. This is a list of the member clubs who host the events

Joining is easy. Just register at the ESL homepage and you are counted as a member of the Eastern Soaring League. You will also receiver the ESL Newsletter to help keep you up to date on ESL activities and general topics around soaring.

Whether you are interested in Hand Launch, Discus Launch or larger gliders, the ESL is a great place to meet people, make friends, develop your soaring talents and enjoy some friendly competition.
