Thanks,

Yes, by using an unauthorised amendment, at your own risk, to standard Hitec Trainer Cord.
Refer Olivier's TX 2 TX : buddy box compatibility problems between different brands of transmitters web page "Hitec cable has pin 6 connected to the ground (as well inside the transmitter as in the cord), but on some Futaba radios pin 6 gives +5 Volt (for DSC). "
Suggested one way only amendment for use with Futaba TX which provides a DSC facility via trainer port. Hitec Laser 4 Buddy Box
To use Hitec TX as Master and Futaba 9Z as Student, construct a dedicated adaptor cable to plug onto your Hitec one way Trainer Cord using an In line 6 pin DIN socket, a few inches of cable and a Square Mini plug.
Female DIN....................Futaba mini square (E6-192J)
Shield (Ground )......................Pin 2 ground
Pin 2 (Signal)........................Pin 3 signal out
.....................................4&5 on the mini plug - short together.
