Last weekend I put my first real flights on my 86" yak and really like the plane. I had one landing that had one bounce and the paint on gear and partially the gear cracked. I called QQ company Monday and they treated me great and sent out a new gear. I flew today and really greased every landing but I guess the taxiing in grass made the paint start cracking at flex point. Anyway, I was hoping someone has found an aftermarket gear that will fit this yak without much if any modification???

Status: offline 		I made my own from aircraft 6061 Aluminum. Adds 4oz.

Tools needed:

1. Bandsaw (or hacksaw, dremel)

2. Table vise

3. 5 lb. Sledge hammer

4. Sandpaper

5. 3/16" 6061 or 2024 aluminum from www.aircraftspruce.com or www.metalsupermarkets.com

Status: offline 		I spoke to Mike at Graphtech. They have landing gear for the 86. According to their website, the process they use to make the gear produces a much stronger gear. Molly sent me new gear also. Quique offers excellent customer service. I have been flying my 86 for 3 weeks. The plane is incredible!
