I think I want a nitro motorcylce.. So far I've been almost exclusively into offroad - a Savage fan above all. Also have an LST2 and Lightning GT, and a not-so-often-used Kyosho FW-05T onroader.. Unfortunately, where I live it's pretty hard to find a good spot to run my offroaders. Basically, it's flat as a pancake..

BUT, there IS a great paved RC-specifc track nearby, and, having seen a vid once of an RC motorbike - the TT Ducati I think, well...., it may be the thing for me..

Here's a pic of the track.. I think it might be perfect for an RC motorbike....

So, is the TT Ducati all that? Easy to run? Tough? Fast? Needs lot so of upgrades??

This is a new realization to me that I want one of these things, so I'm only now starting to look into it..

Any input would be appreciated.. Thanks...

There is very little between the NF and the TT bikes. They are alittle differant to drive compared to the car but not to hard to get use to(reverse the steering servo ) There tough as old boots not much can go wrong with them. Easy to run if you know what your doing with nitro engine. How fast would you like to go??? The stock 27 turn bikes are hitting 41mph. brushless superbikes are hitting 70 mph nitros about the same as the SB. As for upgrades the bike will run pretty well out the box. There are things you can buy, but i would run it stock to start with to make sure it floats your boat brfore spending money on it and it gives you a good base setting if and when you won't to add upgrades.

Most UK runners change:

PMT tyres
TT .12 to a OS.12
Tornado oil damped front forks
revo rear shock
NF steering system
NF body mounts
Homemade fuel tank(TTn one pretty poor and can leak)

Patrick, I new you would show up here. Take a nibble than only big bites follow. Bikes are a lot of fun. Go nitro. I know you can handle it. Learning to drive is way fun. Let me know if I can help. I am at work now. I will send you some more links when I get home.

Thanks guys... Working on selling 1 or 2 of my other cars before I can get serious about anything new...

I do want something for the local track though.. Right now I'm probably more leaning towards a 1/8 Kyosho Inferno GT Aston Martin..

(I mean, just look at the thing...:

)

I need to read some more about these bikes though... The challenge of learning to drive them is a plus for me BTW..

Whitam69 - just to be clear, what you're saying is that the Ducati nitro should hit 40+ mph stock??

Yeah we raced at broolands which has the longest dtraight in the country . The fastest stock bike was Tony at 41 mph sb was jimbos at 68 mph and nitro was Col FS1 which hit 64 mph. we had a radar speed gun to get the speed with. I never ran my .12 for very long but it should hit at least 40 mph.

sorry there are nitros on the vid but im sure you get an idea.

I never seen a stock TTn .12 under the speed gun TBH. My bike hit 61 mph with a TT.18 pro inside. I know the TTn is faster than the stock 27 turn electric bikes and they hit 35-40 mph depending on the track were at of course.
