earlier today i got bored and decided that i was going to try to build my own tail boom for my blade cx-2! well i must say that it went very well and even looks pretty good too. the control of the cx-2 now with the boom is an incredible difference. it only took about 4 flights worth of adjustments on the swashplate linkages to get her back to her original flying characteristics and its flying like a dream. i was a little doubtful of just how much downwash was being caught by the original body but its quiet the difference. so i HIGHLY RECOMMEND buy one or building one for your cx-2 if you havent already done so. tommorrow will be my first official outdoor test flight with the new boom so ill have to get some pics and maybe even a video of it outdoors. thanks guys for the suggestions on pick up a tail boom im alot happier with it now than before. if anyone would like to know how i did this mod pm me and ill send you the details. crazychris!

That's cool! Have been thinking about doing that myself; probably buy one as I don't have alot of time running my store and all.
I've flown mine outside 3 times now with the original body; am curious of how a cf boom would do.
