My self and a freind of mine will be forming an RC tank club based in Delaware. This will be called the 3rd Armored Spear Head divivsion. This club is being formed with an online gaming clan of the same name. We have found many of our members either have rc tanks or are interested in getting into the hobby. some of you may know us under the {SHD} Red Orchestra clan. My online name for the RO clan is {SHD}scianblood. The founding member of {SHD} is known as {SHD}metalbourne. If anyone in the Tri state area would be interested in joining this club you can contact me here or at the {SHD} web site. i'll have more info once metal gets me some graphics I can post on this forum.

michelekingtiger signed up on the UK forum already and I've approved him, but our  email confirmation is broken  - Ive lost count of how many potential members signed up but never came back because of this problem...
Hopefully we can get that fixed tomorrow when we upgrade to V2.0 of the forum software

Many folks from this forum also signed up and then never came back - if you signed up and haven't been back, but want to - please PM me!? I'm looking to do some spring cleaning and I'd hate to whack anybody who wanted to be a member

As for being the youngest, a 15yo runs our forum and our president brings along his son - currently 10 (I think?) - so you're in good company Michele...

We are a new Tank Club in Michigan, Detroit Tank Command. I have been working on this for a couple of years, and now with the help of a few other guys we are getting the club launched. We are actively enlisting members. We have posted club informaiton on the web site for your review and consideration. Please take time to read this information and visit our forum. We welcome your opinions and comments. If you live in the Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Canada (Windsor) area, you're not that far from us, test drive our web site and consider joining our group. We have various enlistments available depending on what level of participation you want to be involved with. Let us know your thoughts, what would you like to see in an R/C tank club. Take a look at our site at www.detroittankcommand.com.

Again, we welcome your comments.

Happy Tanking,

Are their any tankers or tank clubs located in the Central Florida region? Mainly from Daytona to Orlando areas. We have 3 tankers looking for either a club or other RCrs in the area.

Well it's been awhile since I've had something to say on this forum. The FCAD club in Jacksonville,Florida is finally building it's new battlefield. It is going to be located behind HobbyWorld on 103rd Street.Construction is going slowly but presently there is one river dug and 1/3rd of the second. The plans are all drawn up and on Saturdays they have a work party building the battlefield. We will have both the Tamiya type 1/16th and 1/24th scale use the battlefield.so I guess my next purchase will be a 1/24th something? You can call Greg (the owner) of HW for further information.

Hi Guys,

Bob Held, thecommandernj here in NJ.

I moderate the Queens Panzer Group / North East Armored Division (NEAD) on the Yahoo gGoups. We are starting a club here in the NYC metro area and working on a RC field here in Bergen County, NJ. We have approx. 35 people in NEAD and at least five guys are within an hour or so of the intended field site. I am meeting with the local recreation director again today (11-20-09) and things are progressing nicely. If all goes well this will be a fenced-in field with a covered building for work benches and electricity nearby. It will be for RC tanks, trucks and cars with a race track on the outer perimitter that will be the foot path for tankers to fight from 360 degrees. It will have varied terrain, river (wet or dry bed), bridges, building, ruins, and hills with trees in the infield. I am a regular a the AAF Tank Musuem indoor tank battlefield in Danville VA and whereas I could never duplicate the quality that they have there it will be my model. I will attach some pix from there.
It is not my intent or desire to take anthing away from the forum. I hope to add members and contribute usefull information the active membership and potential members about our hobby. The group is open to anyone anywhere. This field will be for anyone in the northeastern USA.
God Bless Bob thecommandernj

Thanks for the kind words. This was a long time build over several years by some very talented and dedicated gentleman. The town is called Berniersville in honor of Dick Bernier who was fundemantal in its contruction. It is open to all comers and we have events there 5 or 6 times a year. The biggest is the Tank Extravaganza in April. It is three days and two nights of non-stop action & RC tank battles. They also run live vintage tanks, crush cars, fire machine guns (live ammo too), fire motars and live flamethrower demos.
** I have a Youtube video from last years RC tank battle and here is a link for it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivDNOPrNXUE Please post comments if you enjoyed it.

**Here is another one with me doing the demo of the MP 40 sub machine gun.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Tj22Tvb2SM (F Y I ...It is not my video and these people are not known to me and Oh yeah...I DON'T PLAY GOLF.)

Check out the tank Museum at this link.... AAFTankMuseum.com It is well worth the trip and hotels in the area are very cheap ($55-60 US). The nearest city to fly into is Greensboro, NC about 50 mile away. Check out cheaptickets.com When I used to fly down with my tank in my carry-on bag from NYC area it was approx $450 for car, flight and hotel. YMMV If your tank can travel see me if you make it there and you can try one of mine.
BTW... Karen at the PX also has any tank part you could possible require and excelent prices on the kits.

**Here are some additional videos just posted by my friend Dana.....
Part 1: http://www.youtube. com/watch? v=wYQ_CgoY3Js
Part 2: http://www.youtube. com/watch? v=krJEM_31GBA

** If you are into RC tanking the AAF Tank Museum in Danville, VA is is like a trip to the Holy Land.....LOL God Bless Bob thecommandernj

Is there any Tank Club in the Pittsburgh, PA area? I'm having difficulty finding one, though I'm not surprised as it seems RC isn't a huge hobby locally in general.
