Thought I'd add a comment back to this old thread, regarding using a 46 Magnum (or other 46 2 stroke) on the OMP Profile. More power is always nice, but as it's been pointed out above, you really don't have to have a 55AX for these light planes to have great performance. I just maidened my V3 OMP Edge today with my favorite Magnum 46XLS with Jettstream muffler (from Jett Engineering). My Magnum is about 6 or 7 yrs old, well used and ultra reliable. I recorded 13,900-14,200 rpm today with an APC 12x4 (narrow) on 15% fuel. My Edge came out at 4lbs, 11oz AUW, incl 1400mah NiMH 6V, standard Hitec 425BB's on all control surfaces, with a fast Dymond mini servo on throttle. With that combo, the Edge is one of the easiest to hover planes I can recall (of over 100 planes) and had plenty of power for pulling out of the hover aggressively. FWIW, I like the 12x4 APC, since it spins up more responsively (and to higher rpm) than the wide, but much heavier 12.25x3.75. Both props perform really well, but I find the quick throttle response from the lighter prop to help me with hovering, torque rolling, etc.
