In a word...yes .
This is the same fuel my son uses in his Mach 28. It was run in using it, went racing with it and did quite well. We raised the compression to suit and now it has the same performance as the other Mach 28's using 25% nitro. About 20 hours of running so far and not a sign of any wear except the pull start cord .

I went to a local chemical supplier. Apparently, there are two types of methanol, AR or Experimental which is 99.5% methanol, and Technical Methanol which is 90%. The 99.5% methanol costs around 17.39USD per liter while the 90% is only 4.34USD per liter. Is it okay if I use the 90% methanol? If I use the 99.5% then it will be more expensive than the fuels being sold in LHS. The castor oil costs around 9USD per liter.

You'll need the 99.5% methanol but go check that price again because that grade should be around $1USD per litre going by the price here in Australia which is $1.20 Aus per litre. Try a speed shop or Go-kart shop because chemical suppliers tend to be a bit pricey. Another place to try are fuel depots for companies like Shell or BP who both sell methanol. The price for the castor sounds about right.

Yes you can. The main affect it'll have is just to dilute down the nitro content but if you're mixing it with normal car fuel then it'll also give you a much better oil content.

Guys I already mixed my fuel:

Homemade Fuel:
Methanol: 1000 mL (83%)
Castor Oil: 200 mL (17%)

+

Commercially Sold Nitro:
300 mL Torando Fuel with 25% nitromethane. (methanol: 66%, synthetic oil: 9%, nitromethane: 25%)

=

My Fuel:
Methanol: 80%
Oil (Castor + Synthetic): 15%
Nitromethane: 5%

So far so good. I already ran two tanks. I did not notice any power reduction. Engine did not overheat.
