DITTO Pat,i too am a small biz owner.Construction remodeling,8 years now.Hey Keith, ypou probably dont remember me but i talked to you about my echo 61cc twin.If ya need any help with small tasks i live in AZ and shipping cant be all that bad.Compared to migranes.I just went out and bought my own 55cc sachs for about 100 dollars and am converting it myself right now,in pic its almost 3 lbs.It also has a tillotson fuel injected carb on it.If ya cant wait for Keiths just do this instead.Youll basiclly have the same engine plus the satisfaction you built it.no waiting either.

I asked that to the dealer that sold me the engine and he said that when you pull the arm down on the side of carb it opens a hole and gas does straight into the carb like a choke but without using a choke. He also said that when he has run his other sachs saws with a stock walbro carb they bog down way sooner than the tillotson.Hes not sure if when the saw starts to bog down this extra port lets call it opens up more and gives the engine more fuel .Ill go to the sachs site and see if i can find any info.

Thanks, I think there are a few people that could use that type of carb.

OK,just came from the sachs site.Plus i looked at my carb wich i really didnt before. There is no choke plate so this is a form of a choke but it lets fuel spray or shoot directly into the carb without all the pulling and putting fingers and other objects over the choke plate.also some chokplates have the extra little round hole or punch mark to prevent flooding i assume. All ya do is pull the lever or arm down and you have instant fuel. Now as to the running like maybe it acts like fuel injection if the engine looses or starts loosing RPM i found nothing on the site so i have only what the dealer told me.If thats all this injection port does then in my opinion i dont see how it would work as fuel injection unless it has somthing to do or connected by a passage to the pump from the pulse hole.Ill have to look at the website again and see if the schematic shows the passages, but i doubt it.

I think it might just be a selling point of somekind and a way to jack up the price. When i was looking at the parts breakdown for the engine it said in this order on the page(carburator-injection).I must have had a moment of grandurs and thought that having a fuel injected carb on my engine would be the talk of the town without first checking into reality. It figures that someone can call somthing when it isnt, but of course the choke could be injected.Ill just have to tell people i have a fuel injected choke,no butterfly.

It's probably a slide valve carb. Ford used them until they had to switch to fuel injection and should be an improvement over a basic Walbro.

Ill get a closeup pic of the carb tommorrow when the suns out.But this valve i guess ill call it is right next to the fuel inlet on the carb and when you pull the arm down it also moves or pulls out from the body of the carb like its being raised off of a seat.its on the upper half of the carb away from the needles or on the other side of the pump. But theres still the throttle butterfly on the bottom so theres no throttle slide.

Man, I don't know how I missed this thread! I have always been a fan of the BME line, though I do not own one. Will this motor come with ignition and some sort of exhaust muffler/diverter? Killer looking motor Keith. Keith W.

Hi Dart,

Ignition yes, muffler no. That's what I've been told. Any muffler that would fit Zenoah g45 looks like it would fit.

One more thing Dart. Since the engines haven't shipped you probably can still get the prepaid, prerelease price. I would email or call Keith at BME. If you find out a ship date, please post for all to know.

Is it a Zenoah jug? So the Zenoah line fits it... does anybody make a Zenoah header to use with a canister muffler?

So, what is the official CC of this Sport motor? Also, I do not see anywhere on the web about any intro price of a pre paid deal? Thanks.

I think it was stated earlier in the thread that it is 52 cc. engine. The introductory pre paid price is also mentioned a few pages back....less than $ 300 bucks I think.

I heard about this through a friend. I guess its all true! Sounds like a good model for a low cost engine.
