Status: offline 		Hi folks. I bought a GeForce 6200-OC video card for RealFlight G3.5. I have a custom built computer with 2gigs of ram and a Core2Duo 1.8ghz on a Asus P5B Deluxe motherboard (no on-board video) running XP Pro. The computer works fine, the simulator works fine. But if I try to play a video the whole computer locks up and I have to manual reboot. I've tried using Windows Media Player and Nero Showtime, both lock up. And if I try to play audio cd's, after a few minutes is starts bogging down like when you drag your finger on a spinning record table. I CAN however play videos on YouTube where the video is embedded in the website. Oh yeah, I've uninstalled/reinstalled WMP and Nero 20 times over. I tried to reinstall the GeForce drivers, but apparently it plays a flash video at startup, so of course it locks her down. I also can't record home videos from my camcorder to the computer without it locking up.

The "lock up" is so bad that I can't even do a ctl/alt/del to see what's hogging up all the memory.

I've been trying to watch some instructional videos on setup tips for my 50cc Yak, but this $2000 hunk of junk wont let me. Could it possibly be the video card? I wouldn't think so since I'm apparently using the card for everything else. Could it be a configuration issue? Keep in mind everything else about the computer works fine.

Any clues?

Status: offline 		if you dont get much help online take it to your local Best Buy, the Geek Squad, they know their stuff, they fixed my computer that had viruses, needed memory ect..in less than 3 days. they are very helpful people.

sorry im not much help but just to check if its your video card do songs skip like when yoiu go to web pages that have songs? go here www.myspace.com top right navigation says Music, click there, search a popular band, click the profile. there you can listen to the songs when they show up click a song from the choices on the top right of the profile if the song skips i'dsay its the video card.

Robby, Have you checked to see if the hardware IRQs are in conflict ?

Status: offline 		I'll check now to see if the irq's are conflicting.

The songs play fine off the internet, I listen to live radio all the time. I'd bet it's a configuration or irq conflict.
