downunder-RCU -> What fuel to use on a OS .46 LA Engine (2/28/2003 8:58:47 AM)

All engines have one critical area that determines the type and minimum % of oil that can be used. In most engines it'll be the piston/liner construction (cast iron, ringed, ABx) but in your LA it's the bushed crankshaft which needs more oil then any other part of the engine for long life. The usual recommendation is for 22% oil and this should have at least 50% castor if you use any synthetics. Nitro % is up to you..I don't use it so I can't make any recommendation on it.
