hey guys this is my first post on this side i currently have an XTM XT2 and i have had it for 5 months. i have become bored of this car and i am in the market for a new one. i have two on my mind, they are the Hyper ST Truggy and the Hot Bodies LSP RTR. i will only be bashing, no racing. i like the look of the Hyper ST and the fact that it has a more powerful .28 engine with a pullstart so i can start it anywhere i want. i also like the look of the LSP RTR because it comes with alot of alloy parts as stock. the only thing i dont like is that the LSP RTR has a less powerful .26 engine and the roto start which means i will have to buy a charger for a 7.2 volt battery pack (which i am getting for free off my friend if i get the LSP) do you guys have any opinions on which car to get?

Their has been a ton of post about these models in the past month. I suggest you skim through them and read what other people are
saying about them. I never had any of these but the consensus seems to be that they are old as far as technology.
Also almost everyone will recomend that you don't even look at the RTR if you intened on get a LSP get the Pro R version lots of hop ups out the box.

i dont want a kit. i need an RTR as that is all the money i am aloud to spend on the car. so geting the kit version is way out of the picture. i just want to know wich is the better of these two. they both have there good and bad points. the Hyper ST has a more powerful .28 motor, pullstart, 17mm Hubs (i think). but it is mostly made up of plastic, like the shock towers, shocks (i think), suspension arms and so on. the LSP RTR has alot of nice alloy parts, but it has a lesss poweful engine, 14mm hubs, no wing, roto start and so on. i am kind of leaning towards the ST at the moment because to me it has more good points than the LSP does. but does anybody else have any opinions? also i have searched the forum but can only find 1 or two things on the ST.

the problem with the lsp IS the alloy. it will break more parts than it saves and is more money to replace when it bends or breaks. plus it's heavier.
i'd go with the hyper st. parts are cheap and you can hop it up as you get money.

ok guys i think i am going to go with the Hyper ST it looks really sweet, and yer i have heard that the alloy just transfers the shock to a plastic part which in turn breaks.

honestly the motors in both those units are junk........ the Macstar 28 is a terrible peice of work, and will cause alot of headaches.

the best Truggy RTR IMHO is the Mantis, as it has an awesome RTR motor, the Axial 28.. this motor will definitely be a huge upgrade over any of the other RTR engines.

The CRT comes with a little less goodies. The Mantis has the receiver pack (rechargable), one monster os a .28, and has a slick looking body and chassis. Granted the CRT is more of a racing truggy and will probably out-perform a Mantis, I don't think a basher would mind.

these are the two truggys that we are buyin. we do not expect the engines to be anything flash. we are not racing them we are only bashing them and doing jumps and stuff. plus when the stock egines die we will both be getting LRP .28s LRP .28 engine

i got a mantis and just put a lrp 28 spec 2 in it this thing hauls i had a sportwerks 26 in it to and that engine kicks but to but if i was you i would find some one with a mantis roller and buy a sportwerks 26 and use that heck with that combo you might be able to jump over the moon but if you are really looking for a rtr truggy maybe the muliator might be good for you its just as cheap as the st it looks like the crt and it is a way better truck then the lsp but its your choice
